It's been a month since Todd asked me to be his girlfriend and since someone broke in. There hasn't been any other incidents thankfully but the police never found the person who did it. They called in Craig to ask him questions but his alibi proved to be true. Right now I'm getting ready to go to Chuckie Cheese for Cayden's ninth birthday. I was brushing my hair, sitting at my vanity when two strong arms arapped around me from behind. I saw Todd smiling back at me in our reflection. Ever since that night he has been protective over me, which I don't mind at all. Everytime I see him I get uncontrollable butterflies in my stomach, and feel a sense of pride that he is mine. He pulled my hair back and put it over my right shoulder, leaning down and trailing kisses from my ear down my neck. I gasped when he hit a sensitive spot right at the part of my neck that meets my collarbone. He heard it and smiled into his kisses, returning to that spot. I watched in the mirror and couldn't help but want him. He was driving me crazy. Everytime I try to start something he stopped me and told me we have to wait for the right time whenever that is.
"You're such a tease!" I scowled.
"So are you."
I threw my hands up in the air, obviously aggravated.
"How?"
"You don't have to do anything, just sitting there is a tease."
I gave him a flat look but soon broke out into a smile. I could never stay mad at him for long. I turned my head and kissed his cheek. I continued to brush my hair but soon the brush was snatched from my hand.
"Hey!"
"Shh."
Todd started brushing my hair but he didn't start at the bottom and work his way up. Oh no, he started at the top and ripped it through the tangles.
"Oww!" I screamed.
"Oh shit! I'm so sorry!" He laughed.
"I bet."
I got up and took my brush back, only to have it taken again.
"I promise, I'll be more gentle."
He pushed me down on the stool and took care in brushing the rest of my hair. We both headed downstairs into the living room where everyone was gathered.
"Hello Todd! We didn't see you come in! How are you dear?" Mrs. Jones proclaimed.
"Good."
Mrs. Jones smiled. Both Mrs. and Mr. Jones have gotten close to Todd and really like him. They practically treat him like another son. I have yet to meet Todd's parents, he says they're not good people and I shouldn't have to go through that. I rolled my eyes at the time but since then he has gotten beaten three times that I know of and once I heard his dad yell at him while we were on the phone. So needless to say, I'm a little scared.
"We're not all going to fit in the van so Todd could you drive?"
"Sure, no problem."
Everyone started packing up to go as Todd and I headed to his truck.
"Wait I want to ride with you Todd!"
Jennifer called from the doorway. Ever since todd started coming around more she developed a huge crush on him. At first I thought it was cute but now it's completely annoying. She never leaves us alone when we're at the house. I think even Todd is starting to get annoyed. I sighed and opened the back door and practically threw her in.
"Ow! Annalise you made me hit my shin! Todd! Kiss it to make it better."
"Uh, I don't think so. Annalise is the only girl I kiss."
