CHAPTER II ¦Frenemy¦

On the spot where he sat yesterday with his noona, Kim Tae Hyung happily blew on bubbles. He plugged the cap back in the container then removed it to blew on more while waiting for the noona he likes. The container has a shape of a sword.

A loud clanking came from the gates of the Kang's, Tae Hyung quickly closed his bubble container and slid his arms off the straps of his back pack to put his toy in it.

He stood up, excited yet nervously gripping on both straps of his back pack after securing it at his back. His eyebrows leapt up at the sight of a black BMW with heavily tinted windows slowly driving out of the two large gates.

'Wonder why noona decided to ride a car..' He thought because he knows that said noona likes to walk from their house to school and vice-versa. He almost got lost in the thought because the car was about to drive past him.

"Wait!" He almost yelled and quickly ran up to the car beside the backseat door.

The window of the driver's door slowly rolled down, revealing a mid-30's man wearing a formal dark blue suit. Tae Hyung hopped to the driver's door and tip toed to see the maid from yesterday, sitting on the passenger seat. She gave him a small smile which he returned.

He was about to stick his head in the car when the driver spoke. "Who you lookin' for, sonyeon?"

"Is... Seul Gi noona in there?"

"Is it correct to answer a question with a question?" Tae Hyung flushed in embarrassment and the driver gave out a hearty laugh.

"Ne, she's in here."

"Oh, um-"

"I didn't accepted your proposal, Kim Tae Hyung." The voice of the girl he's looking for said, he can't help but feel how nice it sounded to hear her voice at the morning. He wondered what her voice is like when she just awoke.

"Eeehhh~ noona!"

"Noona? Proposal!?" Tae Hyung's curiosity poked him at the voice that sounded like it's beside Seul Gi noona.

"Are you Kim Hyung Guk and Tae Soo's boy?" The driver asked, Tae Hyung nodded.

"You know them, ahjussi?" Tae Hyung inclined his head to the left, staring at the driver like he's someone familiar.

The driver chuckled. "I was the one who introduced Tae Soo to Hyung Guk."

"Jinja?! So you're Do Ji Wook?!" Tae Hyung exclaimed and was about to apologize for his outburst when the voice of a boy spoke again.

"Can we go now, driver wook?"

"Yes we can, dolyeonim. Agasshi, can we give this boy a ride? He is my daeja after all.." The driver stared at the rearview mirror, his daeja has his fingers crossed behind his back.

Finally, Seul Gi broke the straining silence with one word and a sigh. "Fine."

Driver Wook and Tae Hyung exchanged shocked yet victorious faces. When the latter heard the pop of the lock, he immediately pulled the door of the backseat without hesitation. The smile on his face took its leisure to drop after seeing a boy with light brown hair, a bit of chubby cheeks, and incredible features for his age beside his noona. The two boys connected their gaze, an unknown annoyance lit up in them.

"Ugh! Are you coming or not, Kim Tae Hyung?" Seul Gi groaned, slicing the glaring contest. Tae Hyung climbed in without a word, he pulled the door to close it and the lock popped. Signaling their security before the car accelerated gradually.

"Who are you to my noona?" Ji Min snarled, he can't keep his mouth shut that noona has a friend. He is happy to know that but mad protectiveness replaced it at the sight of the boy.
