7) Its Not A Nightmare Part 2

I wake up to the sound of huffing behind me.
It's Thomas.
He has his hand covered over my mouth and gestures me to stay silent.
I try to build a nexus between the present situation and then when I see the small space we're crammed in, I finally do.

I pull myself out as soon as the griever's noise fades away. I make a run after checking to see Thomas is tunning too.

all I can focus is my feet and believe in them to save me, and pull me out of this hellhole.

a sudden stamping sound makes Thomas pull me towards the wall. My back touches the wall and I try my best to relax.

its okay.

but the problem is I can't assure myself everything's fine when its not!

the trail of thumping noise gets louder, and its difficult to differentiate between my heartbeat and the hurdling.

in that instant I think about where Minho would be, I recall the recent events.

he ran In this direction.

does that mean....

I gasp at the thought of the griever killing him or even hurting him.

I feel the radiation of warmth on my hand and look down to see it clasped with that of Thomas. I dig in trying not to turn into a liquid or burst into flames.

suddenly a figure appears on my left and as soon as I lay my eyes on him, I pull him into an embrace.

"I almost thought you died!" I feel relieved.

but I'm still angry at him for leaving us for ourselves back there.

but the anger fades away soon enough.

I pull back, only to see the same ferocious beast which had officially made this day the worst of my lifetime.

in that instant we all run like our life depend on it.

because it does.
