I was about to say something pero may narinig kaming....

Bang!!!

I stopped breathing. I don't know what to think. Sino ang natamaan? Si Ms. Sushi o yung lalaki? Millions of possibilities and impossibilities were swirling in my head. What if siya yung natamaan? Bakit tinawag ng janitor si Ms. Sushi na 'Elaine'?

"That was a gun," the guy said and looked at me. Pinahid niya yung luha sa gilid ng mga mata ko. I sniffed. He's right, it is a gun. Tanga nalang ang hindi alam nun.

Tumingin ako sa kanya. He was the man who threw the knife behind Myco's back. Nakatingin lang ako sa kanya habang nakatingin lang siya sa akin. No, let me rephrase that, nakatingin siya sa likuran ko. Bigla bigla nalang siya tumayo.

"Frank," sabi niya. Tumingin ako sa kanya pero nakatingin pa rin siya sa likuran. Nacurious ako kaya lumingon ako sa likuran and swear I wanna kill him and rip his head off.

Napatayo ako bigla. "Na-nasaan si Ms. Sushi? Ha?!! Tell me!! Anonang ginawa mo sa kanya? Papatayin talaga kita!" I yelled at janitor.

He chuckled. A scary and deadly one. It sent me goosebumps. "Ang mga Haviere talaga, ang tatapang. Walang kinakatakutan... Pero namamatay naman."

My eyes widen. "A-anong p-pinagsasabi mo ha?!! Di ako H-haviere o ano man yan" Napalingon naman ang lalaki katabi ko sa akin. His eyes, full of questions.

"Heh, sino ang linoloko mo Catherine Haviere? Ininject ni Elaine ang Catholicon Elixir sa'yo kaya nahimatay ka." I took a step back.

"What?" I asked to myself. May ininject si Ms. Sushie sa akin kaya ako nahimatay? Yung tinatawag na Catholicon Elixir? My mind spun. Pinatong ko ang mga kamay ko sa sides ng ulo ko. Ano ba?!! Di ko na alam!!

"What are you talking asshole? I am not that Catherine Haviere!! I am Jade Sharlot Mendoza you fucking janitor!" I yelled, filled with range. Di ko na kaya. Nangigigil na talaga ako. Punong punong puno na ako!

Di ko na nakayanan kaya napatakbo ako papunta sa kanya. "Argh," I yelled. Pero bago pa ako makaattack sa lalaki, he spoke.

"Catherine Haviere, ang nagiisang Haviere. Wala na ang mga magulang mo. Patay na sila." And then he laughed evilly.

Napahinto ako. No, no, no. They shouldn't be dead. They shouldn't be. Di dapat sila patay! No Jade, kasinungalingan lang ang lahat lahat. Di patay ang mga magulang. Di sila patay. Nagcollapse ako sa sahig habang nakayuko. They're not Haviere. You're not Haviere. Not.

Nataranta ang mga taong malapit sa sulok na yun dahil sa shotgun. Naudlot ang mga klase at nagsiktakbuhan ang mga estudyante at guro palabas ng mga classrooms nila. We heard the emergency bell rung. May mga naunang guard na pumunta sa sulok na yun. I stayed sitting there for a while. It hurts. It freaking hurts.

I heard someone grunt kaya napatingala ako. Nakita ko yung janitor, namimilog ang mga mata niya at parang di nakakahinga. My eyes widen at the scenery. May malaking stick na nakasaksak sa stomach niya. He looked at me pero in the end, nahulog siya, choking. I clutched my hand on my chest. Wh-who did that?

Nagsitakbuhan ang mga tao papunta sa amin pero pinigilan sila ng mga guards. People, curious sila sa mga nangyayari maski ako. I have to find the truth behind this. This mess. Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala sa nakikita ko. I saw a man died in front of me!

"Okay lang kayo mga bata?" Tanong ng isang guard sa amin.

"We're okay. Don't mind us." Reply naman ng lalaki. Napatingin ako sa kanya na nakatayo beside me. Is he the one who did that? I couldn't get it. At alam ni Ms. Sushi ang mga magulang ko na nawawala 3 years ago? Pero, konektado ang lahat eh. It's seems impossible pero mas imposible kung coincidence lang ang lahat. I know ako lang ang dinala sa School Clinic ngayon. Binanggit ang pangalan ni Ms. Sushie ang mga magulang ko ah.

The names of my parents. My long lost parents.

He called me Catherine Haviere. Pero ang pangalan ko ay Jade Sharlot Mendoza ah. I couldn't take this anymore.

"Jett, ano ang nangyayari dito?" May tumanong. I didn't bother looking. I'm too frustrated now.

"Dalhin ko lang muna siya sa room ko. She's not going to be safe in public." Sagot naman ng lalaking nangngangalan Jett. The man's shoulders whom I was crying with lately.

I felt myself lifted up. Ugh! Ika-2 beses na 'to ah! He carried me in bridal style just like Myco earlier. Sinubsob ko lang yung ulo ko sa kanya. I'm lost. I don't know now. I'm alone. Alone in this dark world full of mysteries.

Inilapag niya ako sa isang soft surface. Ang lambot. At ang bango. I tried opening my eyes and when it flattered open, I saw two bright blue eyes staring at me back. I gasped a bit.

Umiwas naman siya at tuluyang tumayo. "Wait!" I yelled and sat down. He looked at me, waiting for me to continue. "Bakit mo ako dinala dito? You know where's the girls' dormitory right? Bakit dito sa boys' dormitory. Are you insane?! I---"

"Is that how you say 'Thank you'?" Aba! Supaldo 'to ah!

I gave him a cold stare. "Screw you," I said back.

Bigla nalang bumukas ang pintuan niya at may pumasok na apat na lalake at isang babae. Her feature's familliar. I felt relieved when I saw her.

"Ms. Sushie!" I gasped. She faced me, a smile appearing from her gorgeous features.

"Jade," she said and lumapit sa akin. She hugged me very tight. I need this now.

"I thought ikaw yung..." I said in a low voice. She chuckled a soft one.

"No jade, I didn't die. I'm glad you're okay." Sabi niya at kumalas sa pagkayakap namin. I choked.

"Boys, kindly fetch some water para naman may mainum si Jade." Utos siya sa apat na lalaki.

"I'll get it," presenta ng isa at tuluyan na umalis papunta sa kitchen.

"Ms. Sushie," I started. It'a now or never. I should do this. "About that---"

"Calling on Ms. Sushie to go to the Principal's now. I repeat, calling on Ms. Sushi to go to the Principal's office now. Thank you" sabi ng speaker na nakadikit somewhere. The hell! Epal ka ah! Jeeez, stupid radio thingy!

She stood up and looked at me. "I'll talk to you later Jade." Sabi niya. Bumalik naman yung lalaki na may dalang baso na ngayon. "Boys, keep an eye on her. Make sure di siya mawawala sa paningin niyo." Utos ni Ms. Sushi.

I didn't know that deadly gangsters could be ordered by English Subject Teachers.

She walked out and closed the door behind her. Iniabot naman ng lalaki ang baso na may lamang tubig. I stared at it for a while and drank it down.

"Why were you there?" Someone asked. I looked at him.

"I happened to pass by so now shut your godddamn mouth," I replied. He lifted both of his hands na parang nagsasabi 'I'll back off'. Kailangan ko ng pahinga. 'Cause dammit!

"Don't you know about us?" Asked the other one.

"Sorry but I'm not nosy. I don't care but I heard you are the oh so called gorgeous and deadly gangster group called Dark Sovereign, am I right?" I said back, snickering.

They all smiled while shooking both of their heads. Okay, mga gwapo nga sila. They really look like animes in real life. Both of this two gangster groups. Pinagaagawan siguro ang mga 'to ng mga babae. Pero wala akong pakialam sa kanila.

"Tinawag kang Catherine Haviere ni Frank kanina. Is that you?"
