Chapter 8: The Offer

I walked habang nakatingin sa notes ko papunta sa girls' dormitory. It's been a week since my first day rito. I found out na yung dalawang grupo ay yung only gangsters sa shool na nameet ko. I don't know. Baka takot lang makita ako yung ibang nagmamala-gangster gangster.

"Jade!" I glanced around, only to find the famous Bloody Potentate. At ilang days na ba nila ako kinukulit?

I raised my eyebrow nang makita ko si Myco sa harapan ko, wearing his freaking smirk everytime nakikita ko siya.

"Hi Ms. Cupcake! Kamusta?" Tanong ni Xander.

"Ano kailangan niyo?" I asked them back. "I don't waste my precious time with jerks so if you'll excuse me." I said at tumalikod pero bago pa ako makalakad, may kumuha ng wrist ko at spun me around, only to face to face with those gorgeous features and hot pink lips of his. His chocolate almond scent filling up my nose and melting me with those  eyes. Di ko na napansin yung kapaligiran ko. So close. Too close. "Don't touch me," I said quietly, not yet over what happened earlier and retrieved back my hand from his grip.

He just looked at me. Di ko mabasa yung mukha niya. Did he noticed something? "Huy!" I said to him. Nakatunganga kasi eh. Kinuha ko yung notebook ko at swinay sa harapan ng mukha niya. "Baliw" I said.

Pagakasabi ko nun, inilayo naman niya yung notebook sa kanya at kinurot ako sa pisngi. "Cute mo talaga." He said.

"Infatuation," Brian muttered.

"Congrats Zac. Sa wakas at papasok ka na sa Binata Academy. Let's celebrate!" Sigaw naman ni Justin habang pumapalakpak ng malakas. Pinagtitinginan naman kami ng mga tao.

"Make sure di ka maligaw papunta sa Torpe Academy ah. Naku, lagot ka." Banta naman ni Xander.

I rolled my eyeballs at their nonsense conversation. So, baliw pala ang mga gangsters rito sa Monsteir High Academy. Fascinating.

"Putcha, umalis nga kamo." Sabi ni Myco habang tinitingnan ng masama ang mga lalaking nakapaligid sa amin. Parang sanay naman yung iba kaya they settled with having smirks etched on their faces.

Xander nudged Justin on the stomach lightly tsaka lumapit siya na parang may ibubulong. "Gusto niya tayo umalis. Privacy daw."

Justin snickered and glanced at us. "I wouldn't mind the PDA." Sabi niya while crossing his arms on his chest.

I rolled my eyes at them. "Tapos na kayo? May pupuntahan pa ako."

Liam chuckled lightly at napa tingin kami sa kanya. Ang tahimik niya kasi mula kanina at ngayon lang kami nakakita ng reaksyon sa kanya. Nang mapansin niya na nakatingin ang lahat sa grupo sa kanya ay nagkibit balikat lang siya. "This girl wants us gone and we keep on chasing her. Tables reversed, I see."

I shifted my weight on one foot and cocked my head. Before I could say something, a voice interrupted our conversation. "Then stop holding the pup's tail,"

I spun around. I noticed the guys I was talking with earlier changed their stance. Chests leaning in with disgust and hatred on their features. I felt someone fell on step beside me. I didn't have to look to figure who it was. "Our business, Malfor."

5 guys whom I reckoned were the other gangster group were all standing in front of me. The one who spoke earlier, Malfor, was raising his eyebrow at us. Tiningnan ko siya straight in the eye and I could see his smirk widening when his gaze fell on me.

"And yet, our possession,"

"Excuse me?" I butted in. I took a step closer kay Malfor. If possible, mas lumuwag pa yung ngiti niya sa bibig niya. By the end of this minute, I'll erase that smirk off his face. "I'm nobody's possession, let's make that clear."

"Ah," his tongue swept over his bottom lip. "Baby we'll see about that," sabi niya with his eyes glistening in amusement.

Myco's hand curled into a fist. "State your ground, Malfor."

"Likewise, Mycolv." Malfor snarled at the guy beside me. With that being his actions, narinig ko yung mga lalaking sa likuran ko  growled in rage. Hindi naman nagpahuli and kabilang grupo kaya they copied them, their mouths looped in rage, eyebrows furrowed, and hands in fists.

Except for one person, "That's enough," his voice held authority and danger. Nasa hulian siya ng grupo niya, nakatago sa paningin ko.

One guy on the other group, as if coming out from a trance, shook his head to gather his composure. Huminga siya ng malalim at tiningnan kami. "Let's all be civil here."

"Says the person who broke the treaty last year." Justin spat in disgust.

Nang marinig nga lalaki yung sinabi ni Justin, umakmang susuntukin niya niyo pero may kamay na pumatong sa balikat niya.

"I said that's enough." Jett spoke in a gravely voice. Nakatingin siya ng maigi sa lalaking namumula sa galit. Kung ano man any tinutukoy ni Justin ay nakatrigger ito sa lalaki. "Raven,"

"I'm a blast," the guy named Raven straightened his stance.

Ibinain ni Jett and atensyon niya kay Myco. "Welcome Ball tonight. 12. Keyword: Katherina." He spoke without sparing a glance at anyone but only at Myco.

I felt a hand snake around my waist. I stiffened. "And the girl?"

Jett paused. At kung hindi ako observant especially sa little details, hindi ko mapapansin yung time when Jett's eyes flickered at me for a second. Some would thought na guni guni lang yun pero I know better. "Bring her,"

I didn't mind the arm around my waist. Or the fact that Jett was standing a foot or two in front of me or I was in the middle between the two deadliest gangsters of this Academy. Isa lang yung nakatatak sa utak ko and that is,

I'm in for a great shitload.
