Chapter 5: Sweet revenge

I'm looking outside the window, staring at the people walking downstairs. The time is ticking but I don't have the gut to stand and walk towards my first subject. Yeah, wala akong gana pumunta sa first class ko which is English sa fourth floor. Good thing may elevator. I don't need to take my mortal enemy, the stairs.

I stretched my leg out from sitting Indian seat sa window ledgehog ko. I shook my head, remembering the scene yesterday as my first day here at Monsteir High. That was good indeed.

My door suddenly blasts open. Napatingin ako dun, only to find Megan and the others. Lumapit si Rhine na padabog.

"Di ka pa ba pupunta sa first subject mo? Ni hindi ka pa nga nakapagalmusal eh." She said as she crossed her arms. Feeling close.

"Don't mind me," I said. Ugh, I hate being distracted by nonsense things. Ayaw ko na ginugilo ako. I don't need company. I don't need friends. Nor them.

She took a deep sigh. Lumapit naman si Yanna. "You know what Jade? Sabayan na kita pumunta sa Cafeteria. Total may bibilhin pa ako and ang first subject ko ay English din. Sabay na tayo. Diba, di mo gusto na nagiisa ka lang pumasok? First day mo para magaral." She smiled.

I looked outside the window again. Isa pa 'to! Can't she see na sanay na sanay na ako mapag isa? And besides, hell! I can go to the cafeteria with myself! What's wrong with them? Okay, maybe dahil kay Stacey pero di ba nila nakita na Za-- Myco took care of it? Kung hindi nila nakita, edi Jeez! They need to get eyeglasses for pete's sake!

Someone cleared her throat. "Ahh Jade, may kailangan ka?"

I averted my gaze on her and put on a blank stare. "Ang gusto ko ay magsilayas na kayo." I said and lumingon sa window nanaman. Wala lang, tinanatamad ako eh. They can't boss me around. I heard the door open and close.

It's my second day here at Monsteir High. I must say na I feel comfortable here. Not like the other schools. I find this school mysterious. I heard the first bell rung.

Oh shit! That's what I'm talking about, baby! I'm late!

I took my sling bag and darted outside my room. FYI I took a bath. Tiningnan ko yung wrist watch ko. Oh wow! 7:10. My class starts exactly this time!

Tumakbo ako palabas ng Girls' Dormitory and pumunta sa Academics Building. Pumunta ako sa may elevator and heck! Ang tagal! Okay, this is my first day, well kinda, pero I need to make a good impression. I know I don't care being late but this is new. I don't even know why I'm reacting like this. Okay maybe I'm a dumbass pero I can be a good girl. Okay, I know I'm fat in lies.

Sheesh! 2nd floor to 5th floor. Grrr! Lumingon lingon ako and I saw my mortal enemy. The stairs.

Ano Jade? Kaya mo? Fuck! 4th floor yan! 4th floor! And nandito palang ako sa ground floor. I sighed. And humakbang papunta sa stairs.

Parang napacircle ang white stairs. Napatingin ako sa itaas. I rolled my eyeballs when I realized something. I'm acting weird. The stairs are obviously long and wide.

Even how much I want to not care of being late at all, I just can't! Something is telling me to keep faster.

Until may nabangaan ako. I look up. Oh a janitor. He looked at me with a blank stare. He hid his face with his cap. "Watch your way mister." I spat at him.

He just looked at me. His eyes. There's something wrong with his look. Like he's being controlled or whatever. He didn't blink or move. Not even once. After our eye to eye contact session sinimulan ko na ang pag akyat. Tigdadalawa ang paghakbang ko. Hingal na hingala ako napakapit sa side. Napastay ako muna dun habang hingal na hingal. 2nd floor palang. I looked at my wristwatch. 7:13! Nagsimula ako tumakbo.
