Upside Down

"Really?" I say trying to sound calm. "Yeah". "Who?", I say hoping he'll say its me. " "Its someone you might know.", he goes on. "She has dark brown hair and beautiful brown eyes." "Oh." I say. Then he stares right at me. "Don't tell anyone Ok?". "I won't." This is the moment I've been waiting for since I met him. I knew he liked me! I just knew it! He starts talking again and keeps staring at me. " It's Allison White. She's in my english class." My heart sinks. I thought I meant something to him. "Oh." I say. The bus has stopped in front of our houses. We both get off but I don't say a word to him. I just get off and slam the house door shut.

Meanwhile, Garret watches her slam the door and go inside. He just stands there and stares at the slammed door. He regrets everything that just happened. He begins to think to himself. How could I have been so stupid? I was just trying to make her jealous so she would like me! I guess she does.

After Madison slammed the door, she dropped her backpack and books and ran to her room. She slams her bedroom door and runs to her bed and throws herself in it. She bursts into tears. How could he do this to her? She liked him so much! What was so good about Allison? She pulls out her phone and reads all the cute texts she and Parker used to send to each other. Madison looks down and sees the latest text from Parker, "Whats going on? Why did you move with no notice? She knows she shouldn't be talking to him. But Garret broke her heart to hard. She decides to text Parker." So sorry. For everything I said and did. Also sorry for leaving so fast. It was a family thing." She presses send. He replies immediately. The doorbell rings and she doesn't get a chance to read it. Walking down the stairs, she yells, "COMING!"

Madison opens the door and sees Garret. "Hey. Sorry for running off I jus---". He interrupts her mid-sentence. "Madison, I really like you."
"I just was trying to make you jealous." "Ok.", I say. I don't know how to respond to this. He stares right at me and I know that this time its real. "Madison Grace Elliot, will you be my girlfriend?" It is literally impossible to say no. "Yes." I say. Thats all I really can say. We both stand there for a few seconds, not sure what to say or do next. "Want to go on an adventure?", he asks me. My parents aren't home and my grandma is planting flowers with the senior citizens. "Ok. Sure." "Just let me leave at note on the front door." I walk inside and grab a post-it note. I write, Went for a walk with Garret! Be back soon! Please don't worry! Madison walks back out on the porch. She and Garret start walking. As they walk, Garret begins to get closer and closer. He slips his hand in hers.

Meanwhile, Madison's phone is being blown up by Parker. When are you coming back? I miss you maddy! I want to get back together! Why aren't you texting me! So sorry maddy. Text me when you're not to busy!
