The speech

I woke up in the soft fluffy embrace of my real bed. I sighed quietly and then flipped to my other side. Jace lay there asleep, his mouth slightly open and I could hear his soft breathing. I stared at him, and took him his beauty. It was as though I'd never seen him before, and my breath caught in my throat. I slowly lifted my had to stroke the side of his face, feeling the small amount of stubble on his jaw. He opened his eyes with a start and rolled of the bed with a shriek, destroying the mood.
"GAAGRH" Jace's head popped up next to the bed. He looked so completely terrified, his face was screwed into an awkward expression and his hair stood up on one side of his head. I burst out laughing.
" You look like sonic the hedgehog" I giggled and feel backwards clutching my stomach. He got back on the bed looking embarrassed and blushed slightly.
"I'm sorry. I'm still not used to..you know. Having you back here." I stopped laughing and slowly inched towards him. I put my hands on either side of his face and leaned in kissing him slowly.
" You don't need to be sorry. " He leaned in to hug me and I felt drops land on my shoulder. I hugged him tighter and whispered reassurances in his ear.

"Okay so, whats been done while I was gone? What progress have we made on the castle?" I asked clapping my hands together. "You. Fill me in" I pointed at a man, probably an alpha.
"Um okay, so, um, okay well, okay, uh so, we like, okay " He mumbled vaguely blabbering on and on.
"Stop. Sit. You, fill me in. And be concise." I pointed at a very small woman standing near the door.
" We have made a truce with the fairy colonies, the trolls are remaining neutral for now, unfortunately we think the elves have joined forces with the Vampires. They are asking that we give them the highlands, and the plains. They are offering us the deserts." I scoff under my breath. " We have several units deployed to guard the border, but they haven't made any outward attacks yet. They seem to be biding their time." I held up my hand.
"How does our army stand up against theirs?" She looks down and away before lifting her head and looking me in the eye.
"We are untrained, we are only half their size and we have no leader. Our chances look grim"
" Do you have a way to contact all of our allies?" I ask
"Yes, we could send out a line and we could reach them within the hour." I smile softly and then start to laugh. The room looks at me like I'm crazy, but I ignore them.
"Then we have all we need. Tell them that their will be a mandatory broadcast, and that they should make sure everyone in their pack, or in their kingdom, listens. We will make a plan and we will win this war."

I stood up straight and fixed my hair. Jace turned from talking to the camera man to look at me. "Are you sure you want to do this? You are going to become a target. I can't protect you." He seems defeated so I grabbed his hands.
"You do not protect me. Women are not weak. I don't need protecting. If you think like that you are an idiot. But I love you for trying." I push him away gently and turn toward the camera. The girl counts down on her fingers.
Three. Two. One
" My name is Jessica. We are at war. As we know, the vampires want our lands. Our hunting grounds, our villages. They want to take everything from us. We have gotten lazy, our packs are untrained, our Alphas grow commonplace, but today, today that ends. My name is Jessica, and we will train you. I am planning on implementing a program where their will be three fighters per pack. Training will become mandatory for all cubs able and willing to fight between the ages of 17 and 75. We will become strong again. My name is Jessica, let me be your leader. Let me help us, I can do it if you trust me. I will make us strong again, and be the best Alpha you could ever get. Be strong, be brave. Remember who we are, we are werewolves, and we are a pack.
