Your eyes fluttered open you lay there for a second wishing you could go back to sleep then all of a sudden BANG ur plummeting towards the heavens taken by surprise you scream and try to crawl into a safe corner what is going on ! you thought trying to block out the sound with your two fingers but its too loud so you sat there squeezing your eyes shut and clenching your fists together as if you were going to punch this bloodsucking alarm clock from hell then finally it stopped and you heard the swing of two cage-like metal doors swing open and you were blinded by the light when your eyes opened the first thing you saw was a blue sky painted with grey clouds that looked like they were about to pour out with buckets of rain then a bunch of boys glaring down at you like a piece of meat and instantly you felt threatened then one of them jumped down and examined your condition "hmm before you say anything i want you to know that ur perfectly safe here" the brown in his eyes stood out to you as he said that you just gazed at them for like 30 seconds before realising you didn't know anything about him *wait i don't know anything about me either omg this is crazy i don't like it i think I'm gna start freaking out now* a wave of worry and panic washed over you "what's happening to me? What's happening where am I" you questioned him like he had the answers "don't worry . Look at me. Oi look at me, you are perfectly fine just come with me" you took his hand an scrambled out the box to reveal the structure of the new surroundings "whhhaaat is this?" You looked to the boy with blonde hair and a foreign accent "this is your new home" a different voice answered it came from a tall man with brown skin and a strong stance *he looks like he has answers* you thought "this is the glade" *am i meant to know what that means* you looked at him blankly "these 4 walls are going to keep you safe.." he started to speak before you interrupted "from what, what's out there?" your voice quaked a little from fear starting to spread "you don't even want to know" said the blonde boy "don't worry about that right now, my name is alby and this is newt" he said changing the subject *why isn't anyone telling me anything* you panicked "please just tell me WHAT IS GOING ON" at this moment you were so frustrated you were close to tears the two exchanged looks "okay come with me" said the newt walking towards a large tree house like structure "do you remember your name yet?" he asked climbing up the ladder in front of you "umm i think so" you said uncertainly "y/n" you stood at the top of the platform "welcome to the glade y/n" you stared in disbelief at the sight before you "is this a ..a maze ..what are we doing in a maze" the confusion is real "you might want to sit down" he said "every month someone like you comes out of that box with no memory of anything and every night those door close to protect us from the grivers" he explained "well then we have to escape there has to be a way out" that was a bit too optimistic even for you "i wish it was that easy the maze it changes every night and if you're caught out there after the doors close that's it your basically dead" *great, stuck in a hole full of boys with monsters waiting outside to eat me for dinner doesn't get much better than this* "so we're just stuck here forever" you said in a grim mood "maybe not that long" he laughed
