"Wake up, Kyra." I said, shaking her.
"No. Leave me alone." She lowly grumbled.
"What's wrong?" I asked, sitting down on the bed.
"I get to spend my first Thanksgiving without my family." She said in a sarcastic tone.
"It's only one." I shrugged. She shot up, looking at me.
"Only one?! ONLY ONE?!" She raised her voice.
"Go get dressed." I said in a blunt tone.
"No, I'm not doing anything today because I'm not where I belong!" She resisted.
"Kyra, I'm not going to argue with you. Get your ass up, get dressed, and wait downstairs. Wear something nice." I growled at her.
"I fucking told you, I'm not going-" She started before I snatched her up by her arm, flashing my black eyes.
"I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOUR ATTITUDE! I TOLD YOU, GET UP AND GET DRESSED, AND GET DOWNSTAIRS!"
"I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOUR FUCKING EYES! I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE!" She snatched her arm back and glared at me before lying back down.
"Listen here." I gritted between my teeth as I pulled her up by her arm, once again. I put my lips next to her ear. "Get up and get ready. I don't have the patience to put up with your bullshit. Do it or you won't talk to your brother again. Do you understand me?!"
She slightly jumped when I yelled that last sentence. She tried to snatch her arm away, but I pulled her back.
"I'll do it! Leave me alone! Shit." She grumbled, pushing me away from her and standing up. "Get the fuck out so I cam change." She hissed.
I wanted to say something back, but instead, I decided to let it go and get out.
"She resisted." I spoke into the phone, walking into the kitchen.
"I knew she would. Is she getting ready?" Carlos asked.
"Yeah. She might take a while. She's kinda pissed." I shrugged, grabbing a pack of blood from the fridge and sinking my teeth into it.
"What the fuck is that?" He cringed through the screen.
"Blood. I'll have to bring you some when we come. Make sure you call it kool-aid around your human friends."
"Don't feed my sister that shit."
"BRING A BAG OF BLOOD WHEREVER WE'RE GOING! I'M THIRSTY!" She yelled from upstairs. I turned and looked at Carlos.
"How the fuck did you get her hooked onto that-"
"Listen. I'll tell you when we get there. You'll like it. I'll explain everything. Including why your eyes are getting that metalic outline around it at the sight of blood." I grinned.
"What?!" He looked at himself through the phone.
"We'll be there shortly." I said before hanging up.
"You got everything set?" Chres asked as he jogged down the steps.
"Aye man shut up. You bout to give it all away." I shushed him.
"Yes or no?"
"Yeah. We just waitin on her." I leaned on the counter.
"Good. Cuz I am hungry. Am I the only one that's been getting a strange craving for actual food?" Ray asked as he walked in.
