Friends, Slaves, and Nightmares

12: The Captives

A swirling tornado of black sand erupted in the center of the house where Mina, David, and all the other friends were. The sand took the shape of a man. The figure of man grinned and looked between David, Axel, and Mina. The sand turned into an actual man, Pitch to be more specific. Next to him, Damion phased through the ground as a ghost would.

"Grab the runt, I'll take the blind one." Pitch said and grinned.

"First, make sure their friends won't wake up." Damion said quickly, watching Katey stirring sight nearby. She would wake up soon without something keeping her asleep.

"Right enough." Pitch waved a hand around at all the children, creating a ring of black sand around each person's forehead. The sand forcefully kept them all asleep and allowed him to control their dreams. Seeing Kara smile from her dream, Pitch quickly threw the small girl into a nightmare. The girl's smile vanished and she frowned, shifting uncomfortably from the nightmare.

Damion pointed a finger towards Kara with a smile. "Nice touch." He went over to Kara and Axel, taking the tiny boy and lazily throwing him over his shoulder. He took out a pair of chains and clamped them around Axel's small wrists.

Pitch went over to David and Mina, picking up David. "Chains, Damion?" Pitch thrusted his hand out towards Damion. Chains were quickly placed in his hand, which were then locked around the wrists of David. "Let's be off!" Pitch declared.

Damion nodded and phased into the ground, taking Axel with him. They passed through the solid ground and flee threw it towards Damion's castle. Pitch vanishes into sand, David along with him. The four appeared in Damion's castle. The two captives had their chains attached to the wall so they could not escape. Pitch flicked his wrists towards the two captives and allowed the black sand to fall from their foreheads.

"Damion, why don't you wake our new slaves with a whip?" Pitch suggested and studied Axel and Damion, who both hung limply from their chains.

"Why of course!" Damion laughed slightly, picking up a whip. He raised the whip high and aimed at Axel first. It wouldn't be long until they were both bleeding and submissive to their masters.

Kara was the first one to wake once the sand had released everyone's head. She let out a slight scream from the nightmare Pitch had forced on her. Shaking and looking around, she saw her little brother and David were missing. "A-Axel?.." Kara called out softly.

Katey and Mina had been jarred awake from the sound of distress. "Something wrong Kara?.." Katey asked and rubbed her eyes tiredly.

"I-I don't know where Axel is.. He was right here.." Kara reached towards where her little brother once was.

"Hey, David is gone too!" Mina exclaimed worriedly and looked around. "It's not like he can walk off quietly and blindly by himself easily?.."

Kara's eyes went wide. "I-I think someone took them.."

Katey glance around, then from Kara to Mina. "If they were taken, we would have heard a struggle.. Unless we were asleep and unable to wake up.." Katey groaned quietly and dragged a hand down her face, having realized what happened.

"Pitch and Damion.." Kara whispered quietly and started to shake slightly. "Let's go get them!" She jumps up to her feet frantically.

Katey shook her head and went over to Kara, putting a hand on her head. "We have to be smart about this Kara.. If they get any of us, we're in trouble."

Mina looked from Katey and Kara confusedly. "What's going on?.. Who's Pitch and Damion?!" She shouted a bjt, nervous now.

Katey looked towards Mina, Kara hovering near her and looking like she may start to cry. "They're people who like to mess with us.. They've taken just about every one of us and tortured us in some form or another, physically and or emotionally. Damion and Pitch are heartless and brutal physcos."

"And they took David and Axel?.. Why them?.." Mina asked sadly now.

"They took Axel because of me... Damion hates me and blames me for Trix leaving and no longer listening to him as her leader..." Kara said quietly, shaking slightly.

Katey looked towards Kara. "How about you work on getting Trix here to help..".

Mina was still confused and insure who Trix was, but understood David was in trouble. This can't be good.
