Jordan's POV

We were taken underground or something, I wasn't too sure since they put blindfolds on us when we arrived at a large concrete fence; we went down for a while though using stairs.

Cole and I sat in a small, dark empty room, our hands and feet bound together; the door was locked on the other side so we couldn't get out. Cole was completely out of it, he just laid on his side how they left him and he hasn't even tried to move. I put his head in my lap to try to offer any comfort but he was completely unresponsive.

It was impossible to say how long we were in there for since there were no windows, the only light source was a plastic and rubber camping lantern powered by batteries in the corner; I tried to break it earlier to try to use the plastic to cut our bindings but the damn thing was indestructible.

After a long, long while though that guy from earlier came into the room with a flashlight and two little paper cups "Hey guys, comfortable? I figured you guys might be thirsty so here" he said before putting the cups on the floor "What's wrong with him?"

"He's probably upset that you killed his dogs" I said flatly. "Yeah it's a damn shame" the guy said "But anyway get comfortable since you'll be here a while". "Why are we here? What do you want?" I asked. "Look it's nothing personal alright" the guy said "I just had some questions that were never answered if you remember? Once you answer them you and your little brother can leave". "Fine, what do you want to know?" I said.

"No, I think we should get to know each other first right? I mean it's only polite to get to know each other before talking business" the guy said "It's gotta wait until tomorrow though I hope you understand, I'm a busy guy". "Tomorrow? Then where are we going to sleep?" I asked. The guy looked around the room "This is pretty cozy I think" he said before getting up and leaving.

"We're going to die here aren't we? He's not going to let us go, we killed his friends" Cole said in a soft voice, slightly above a whisper. "We're not going to die, Chandler and your family is waiting for you and I need to get back to Eric; we'll get out of here somehow" I said with more confidence then I felt. "I just want to go home" Cole said softly as he sat up.

I crawled on my knees to get the two cups of water "Here" I said, putting one in front of Cole "What it's drugged or something?" he asked. I thought about it before saying "Only one way to find out, if I start acting weird don't drink any alright"  I grabbed the cup with both my hands since they were still tried together and drank it. After a while when I didn't react, Cole drank the other cup and we sat in the silent darkness.

It was impossible to know if twenty minutes or twenty hours passed until two guys came in holding what looked to be pillowcases "Come on, bathroom break" they said as they slid the pillow cases over our faces and pulled us to our arms before pushing us forward. After a while we were outside, the breeze on my arms and the birds singing were proof of that, the pillowcase was taken off of my head and I was facing a wall.

"I'm going to take off your ties so you can use your hands to do your business" one of the guys said "If you try anything weird this knife is going in your back" I nodded and the guy used his knife to cut my bindings; it was awkward and difficult to pee with a guy's hand on my shoulder and the point of a knife in my back.

I tried to turned my head slightly to look as our surroundings and try to find an escape route but as soon as I tried, the hand on my shoulder went to the top of my head and I was forced to look at the wall. As soon as I zipped up, the pillow case went back over my head and I heard Cole take his turn. As we were being lead back I heard the sounds of helicopter rotors, very faintly.

"Did you hear that?" I asked Cole as the door was shut behind us and we were in the dark room again. "Heard what?" Cole said, as he laid down on his side. "A helicopter, I think your sister is going to rescue us, maybe Aapeli was able to get some help" I said. Cole sat up "Really? Then we have to escape from this room; we'll ambush the next guy that walks in here and make a break for it".

I looked at Cole, surprised at his sudden mood shift, I was even more surprised when he said "Before we leave though, I want to pay the guy who killed my dogs a visit". "Violence doesn't solve anything Cole, it won't bring your dogs back if you hurt him" I said gently. "No, but it'll make me feel better" he said darkly before he crawled over to the lantern and held it in his fist to use as a weapon.
