Isaac had been staying at his friend Derek's house since Dad died. I also found out that there wasn't going to be a funeral, it was a bit curious but I didn't question that either. I was going to be staying at Derek's house with Isaac during my stay. I was already enrolled in school here because I wasn't sure how long I was going to be staying. I'm hoping I'll be here for at least a few months.
"Now I'm going to inform you that Derek's house is currently under renovation, it was burned down a while back and he... uh he's moving into it again officially" Isaac explained. I walked in scanning with my eyes to find that parts of the house were charred and some looked brand new. Isaac led the way upstairs to the last bedroom on the left and opened the door.
"This is the room you will be staying in" he informed me. I looked around at the deep purple walls with black swirls, the black curtains with the window overlooking the back yard, and the black dressers with purple embellishments.
"I love it" I smiled setting my two suitcases on the full sized white bed. You wouldn't think it would go with the room but in all reality it made it look even better.
"Great, I'll be the bedroom right across from yours if you need anything" he offered.
"Where is Derek?" I asked curiously.
"Um, he usually just wanders around from place to place" Isaac shrugged "you'll probably only see him during the night." I nodded as Isaac left. I checked the alarm clock next to the bed and saw that it was already 7 PM. I switched into my PJs and headed down stairs. I looked around a bit and ended up grabbing a granola bar from the kitchen. There wasn't a TV or a computer and it was too late to go do anything outside. I finally retreated back up to my room and pulled my laptop out of my bag.
I logged onto my facebook and started to get really curious. I clicked on the search bar and searched that guy Jackson Whittemore. I saw I had one mutual friend being Isaac and I sent him a friend request. His profile picture was of him and that strawberry blonde girl. I just snapped my laptop shut after that and checked the clock. It was now 8:30 PM and I was at a loss of what to do. Normally I don't go to bed until at least 10 PM. I finally decided to pull my ipod out and lay back on the bed. I closed my eyes and before I knew it I was asleep.

I jerked awake with sweat beading on my forehead. I looked at the clock and it was 1 AM. I sat up rubbing my temples. I decided to go splash some water on my face when something in my window caught my eye. A faint yellowish light coming from out in the forest. My curiosity got the best of me and I pulled on shorts and a t-shirt. I tip toed quietly down the stairs and out the front door.
I glanced around before heading to the back of the house and sure enough there was the light again. I started to creep out into the forest and there was the start of a low hiss. My heart beat started to pick up. I really shouldn't be out here in the middle of the night. The hissing got louder and I notice that the yellowish light was actually two spots hidden in a bush, almost like the eyes of a predator.
"What are you doing out here?" came a startling voice from behind me. I jumped up, spinning around to see a tall muscular man with dark hair behind me.
"I was uh, I saw a light" I stuttered. His eyes flashed behind me then back to me.
"I'm guessing you're Isaac's sister" he offered "I'm Derek, and I think it'd be wise for you to stay in doors at night." Something about his stare was so intimidating.
"Uh yeah, you're right. I'll just get back inside" I mumbled walking past him but he put out a hand to stop me.
"Hey, are you're eyes naturally purple?" he asked curiously with a stern undertone.
"Yeah" I said getting a bit more confidence. He looked a bit in aw before replying.
"Interesting... well you best get inside" he stated and I hurried back towards the house. Once I was back in my bedroom I looked out and saw Derek was just standing there still looking out into the forest. Things were beginning to get strange. First the claw marks in Isaac's car, then the eyes and the hissing, then Derek's strange behavior. Something is defiantly going on here in Beacon Hills.
