Cassidy's POV
I slammed my locker shut to jump at the sight of Grayson leaning against the other lockers, looking at me seductively.
"Stop," I giggled, punching his stomach to stop him.
"Hey!" he cried and pouted at me. "Oh, by the way, there's a new girl."
I rolled my eyes: "Is she the blond one? The one who's already popular? I can't believe she made Blake unpopular!" I was genuinely surprised. Where had Blake disappeared to anyway?
"Well yeah, I guess." Grayson took a energy bar out of pocket and munched on it.
"Hey give me some!" I squealed and grabbed some, stuffing it in my mouth as Grayson fake wrestled with me. We ended up in a tight hug, his strong arms wrapping around me. His warm touch sent small goosebumps all around my body; I was wearing a grey, sleeve-less shirt.
"You cold again?" he mumbled into my ear.
"No, why?"
He pulled away from the brace and chuckled, "Because I can feel your goose bumps. Here." He gave me his navy blue hoodie, and I didn't resist as I pulled it on. He smiled at me as his dangly earring swayed.
"Hey, I'll see you in English? I have to go meet Aaron to do some homework." Gray waved goodbye as he strode down the hallway.
There were distant laughs that started to come closer, and I turned to look at a big crowd surrounding over someone. I caught a glimpse of the new girl in the middle of everything, but she had a small thing about her that differenced herself from Blake.
She wore black jeans with a baggy, white jumper. It kind of reminded me of my first day at this school. She carried a few books in her hand, and when she came closer, she nudged into me to pass through.
"Excuse me?!" I yelled at her. She made her back to me and her eyes were full of concern.
"I'm so sorry, someone pushed me." the crowd had wandered away, and a few girls were waiting for her at a distance. I recognised them.
They were Blake's friends!
"Uh yeah, it's okay." I smiled at her a little, "Hey, uh, please, please don't hangout with them." I gestured over to the group of idiots behind her.
They were giggling and twirling their hair, blowing bubbles with their pink bubblegum and applying more lipgloss or mascara with a compact mirror in their hands. They wore slutty clothes: extra tight crop tops and six-inch high heals with tiny mini skirts. I don't even know why, it was winter.
"Oh, I wasn't going to anyway, they're a bunch of bitches," she rolled her eyes, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. I liked her.
"What's your name?"
"Jessica, but you can call me Jess." she smiled at me, "You?"
"I'm Cassidy, but you can call me whatever you want," she laughed a little.
"Hey, I heard your in my classes?"
"Oh, I don't know, but I have English next."
"Same! We should probably start going now huh?" she cried just as the bell rang and she dragged me down the corridor.
