Chapter 5: The Escape

A tear ran down my cheek when I looked up to see that Jason wasn't there anymore. Dr.James turned to me and said "he will be taken care of soon enough,in the mean time you will be taken to a room." I stared angrily at him,I wanted to attack him so badly but when I looked over the girl shook her head. I sighed and tried to stay calm and look calm,2 men came into the room and led us to another room with only 2 beds and a door that leads somewhere. "This is where y'all will sleep,eat,and anything else" one of the guys said with a deep voice. I nodded and looked at Anna,she nodded and looked back with fear and worry in her eyes. When they closed and locked the door,I walked over to her.She looked at me with a tear in here eye,I wiped the tear and hugged her.

She hugged back and cried on my shoulder quietly. I rubbed her back softly and said "it's ok,everything will be ok" she looked at and smiled softly. "Thanks Mike," she said "I really needed that." "Anytime" I said and smiled at her and she smiled back,Then she asked "what now,are we just wanna stay here and do what he says?" I thought for a second then said "no,we need to get out if here and fast." She nodded and looked at the window at the top of the wall,"if we can get up there then we can go out the window." I nodded and looked up there wondering how we would get up there. Like she read my mind she said "maybe we could boost each other up." "Brilliant idea" I said as I walked over to her, "but who goes up first?" "You will," she exclaimed "and then you can pull me up." She picked me up on her shoulders and I open the window then climbed through.Then I grabbed her hands and pulled her up,"we're free!" She said with a smile on her face.I smiled and said "now we have to run and get away from here before they catch us,she nodded and we ran deep into the oak tree forest.
