Alex POV....
Harper's face froze. Then hers eyes closed and she collapsed onto the bed. She had fainted. I began to shake her but she wouldn't wake up. I was getting worried. Crap. My mind was buzzing. I could only do one thing. I touched her cheek lightly. Images flashed through my mind. I focused on what she was thinking of. She was thinking of her mum. Her mum and she were in a room with lots of people. Harper was getting shoved to the back. Everybody was talking quietly. Then as she looked over at her mum who was at the other side of the room, i appeared. I felt her heart race under my body. I removed my hand from her face and sat back. I was shell shocked. She liked me. Alot! This couldn't happen. This can't happen! I gritted my teeth hard, not caring about the slight pain. She couldn't love me. I was a monster! I got up off the bed and left the small, cosy cottage and headed for the cold, family mansion.
Harper's POV.....
I awoke to an empty room. Just me and nobody else. I got up out of the bed, nearly killing myself in the process. A looked back to see what had made me fall. Brown coat hanger lye on the ground. i laughed at myself. I headed through to the kitchen for a bit of breakfast. It was early morning. Around 6, the sky was dull and the grass outside was wet. The house was undisturbed, unexcited and sober. I paced down the hall into the empty open-planed kitchen. Where was he? I scanned the room. A empty coffee cup and half of a bacon sandwich lay on the counter near the clean stove. I opened cupboards and chucked stuff into a bowl and started eating. I was on auto-pilot. The door burst open. Alex came through. His hair clung to his face. My eyes trailed down his body. The rain hit against the window, bringing me back to reality. He looked at me for a second then deliberated down the hall.
Alex's POV....
**What happened at the mansion with Alex's family and him**
"Ok Dad, Mum we really need to talk. Now." They both sat reading at our 12 seat dining table.
"Alex, we want to know to" The room filled with my brothers and there wife's. There were 3 of us. Damario, Lupus and I. Lupus was the oldest, he was '21' technically and Damario was the youngest. He was only '16'. We had grown up with a simple life. We had money but we weren't spoiled like those kids your see in this generation. My family weren't normal. I found that out growing up. I once found Damario sucking blood out of our pet hamster, Spike. I cried my eyes out but then my father sat me down and told me the whole story. Vampires. I was one of them and i was turned in 1798 when i was 19. My mother and father were born vampires. My father was the oldest he have been 102( but looked 30) and my mother who was 69 (but looked 30) decided to start a family. Yes, Vampires could have families. Myths and legends aren't always right. I focused back to the now-filled room of family.
"Well-" I looked round the table "i need your advice. Don't judge me; you need to listen to what i have to say first." Everybody nodded and listened "As you know Harper is staying in the cottage and i was the last to know I never knew she was there until I came home from my hunt and find her in the library. Now i don't know how to say this but-" i paused " i think i have started to mark her." Lupus stood up, His wife Gillian soon followed. Damario sat shocked while Lieda his fiancé sat calm. My mother was the first to speak.
"Alexander, does she know-"
"Don't worry Liz, Alex already thought of that. You see the law states that any human who is told about us will be killed as well as the vampire who told them. But For decades now, vampires that have fallen in love with a human or have been bonded,marked or even have been soul mates have made them guess or give them clues. If the human guess's right then the law no longer applies to the case and the vampire may explain to the human everything and eventually the vampire will turn the human into their own kind. In this case, Alex has fallen for a human. Alex look at me" I stood shocked, Lieda slowly rose from her seat still speaking "You can't hide anything from me Alex, I thought you have learned by now, what has it been, 200 years nearly? And you still forget i can see the future and feelings? " Her laugh echoed round the silent room. Everybody seemed to relax. "Alex, she's your soul mate. You can't mark her because you and Harper have always been marked. You and Harper are meant to be. Every time you see her your soul-bond will grow stronger. Every time you touch her , your soul-bond will get stronger, you see where I'm going?"
