She could have hugged him. Kissed him on the cheek.

She couldn't.
She just stared. Lost for words at the boy standing on the opposite side of her door.
"I told you so."
She blinked. "What?"
"I told you so."
"Excuse me."
"I told you so. I told you, you wer brilliant and kind and sweet and thoughtful."
"I...what?"
"I told you so."
"I...no you didn't."
He frowned, "I didn't."
"No." She shook her head.
"Oh." He stepped closer. "I must have dreamt it up."
Then he kissed her.
