Part Seventeen: No Time for Apologies

-Dan's POV-

"You need to stop these games and come over here!" I nearly yelled into the phone. A frustrated Sam was on the other line.

Sam: "DANIEL, I AM NOT GOING BACK TO THAT CHEATING SCUM OF A BOY!"

Dan: "SCUM? SCUM?! Samantha, was it not that so called "Scum" that proposed to you; who loves you; who will drag his feet through broken glass just to satisfy you?"

Sam: "Well-"

Dan: "Exactly. Now tell me why am innocent, sweet, loving lad like Phil would cheat on you?"

Sam was lost for words. I think she's finally starting to see the other side of things now. She begins to sob on the other end of the call. I feel bad at first, but then relieved, for at least she's realized what she's done.

Sam: "*sniff* O-Ok.. *sniff* I'm coming over now."

Dan: "It's about time."

I hang up the phone and immediately run upstairs to (y/n) and Phil.
"GUYS!" I shout. They jump up from the bed where Phil was just cuddling into (y/n)'s shoulder. "D-Dan..I'm sorry for-" "ITS OK! NO TIME FOR THAT! JUST GET READY, WOULD YOU!" "A-Alright then.." Phil gets up to go change into his usual blue T-shirt and black jeans. (Y/n) gets up to confront me. "What is all this, sweetie?" She kisses my cheek worriedly. I pick her up and kiss her neck. "We'll finally be alone again soon." Her eyes widen. "You didn't- I'll go get dressed!" And she ran off to our bedroom.

I was so relieved to finally have things get back to normal; back to the way it used to be. I smiled faintly and began to get dressed into my leather shirt/best thing that I originally bought as a joke, as well as, of course, black skinny jeans and converse. I went to the bathroom to straighten my hair and brush my teeth.

"Today...things will be better.." I look into the mirror and smile.
