"I'm so full Austin, I feel like I ate a whale and it gave birth in my stomach..." I joked, laying on my back beside Austin on the hammock. He'd brought us some food from Five Guys while I was passed out in the car, knowing how long it'd been since I had some. My belly was stuffed beyond belief, I felt like the button on my shorts would fly off at any second.
"I could eat a lot more, I don't see how you're so full." Austin lied flat on his stomach, poking at my side. I gave him a look of disbelief and shot him a smile, "I'm kidding! My stomach's about to explode though."
He grunted between the ropes of the hammock, pushing himself over me. A crooked smile took over his face as I rested my hands on his jawline. He brought his hands up to my ribcage, wiggling his fingers under my shirt and tickling me. He had a nice grip on me, chuckling at me as I tried to wriggle free from his swift moving fingers. I kicked my legs but his were wrapped around them, so there was really no room for me to move. I tried to fight back my laughter but I couldn't, he knew my funny spots and he would use them against me.
"Austin, I can't breathe!" I panted for breath in between laughs as he continued, "Austin Carter Mahone!"
"Kaden Nicole James!" He shot back at me with the biggest smirk. He gradually came to a stop. He lied back beside me, sweeping the hair from my face. I stared into those majestic hazel eyes of his and a little giggle escaped from my mouth. Something about the twinkle in his eyes made me giggle and feel bubbly. He leaned in for a kiss, I clenched the hem of his shirt, biting my lip and pushed my hand towards him. He flew back and into the sand, landing with a loud thump, "Was that even necessary?!"
"Whatever, you love me!" I singsonged in a mocking tone, balancing myself on the rocking hammock, staring down at him. I blew him a sassy kiss before turning back on my side. I threw my arm over my eyes, relaxing once again.
I heard Austin shuffle to his feet, wiping the sand from his body. I felt his fingers tie themselves between the spaces of the rope as he rocked me back and forth. My body tensed, I knew he was up to something.
"What are you doing?" I laughed, he didn't answer. Instead, he stared out at the beach, an evil smirk plastering across his face, humming a song to himself. I waved my hand in his face, "Mr. Mahone please don't kill me."
He only smiled, clearing his throat before suddenly stopping me. I almost rolled off the hammock. He still hummed to himself, but little giggling in between, "Annnnnd, POP goes the weasel!"
With the pop, Austin slammed his hand down on the hammock, jerking his wrist violently, sending me into the air. I was hovering three feet over the hammock, which was 4 feet above the ground. I cringed my body, bracing myself for the fall. Everything seemed to be moving in slow motion as I fell. But I stopped, mid air, not even touching the ground. I opened my eyes only to see myself in Austin's arms. He was carrying me bridal style to the large block that we had eaten our Five Guys on, setting me down gently, "I wasn't gonna let you fall."
"Well thank you." We both laughed. I pushed my knees up to my chest, wrapping my arms around them, resting my chin between my knees. I gave him a shy smile as he sat crisscrossed in front of me, boyishly smiling back at me. Stop doing that, it's making me nervous! Like you can hear me yelling at you in my mind. Stop licking your lips, you're killing me. Can you not. Austin, if you don't stop... I love you, oh my goodness this is so bad. Stop being adorable. Those dreamy eyes, why are you so damn cute right now. Kay, snap out of it. Okay, "What do you do out here anyway?"
He hesitated, probably thinking of an answer, "Agh, I just sit out here and think... You know, relax. It's peaceful out here. A place where I can be Austin and not Austin Mahone. I write songs out here too, it's so quiet."
"Songs?" I didn't know he writes music, I knew he was gifted but writing his own music was a step above the rest, "Can I hear one?"
"No!" He shot out quickly with an embarrassed smile. Well then, "Only because I didn't finish it!"
"So what!" I put on my puppy dog face, "Pleaasseeee?"
"How can I say no to that face," He grabbed my chin, putting it between his thumb and index finger. He tugged, moving my lips to his, a lingering kiss between us. I smiled when we pulled apart, I can't help but to every time his full lips even grazed mine, "Fine..."
"Yay!" I clapped my hands like an over energetic five year old, hopping up and down. Austin gave me a look of embarrassment and I beamed as he reached over for his guitar. I hadn't seen him play yet or really sing so I was really excited. He tuned his guitar, he was focused on it, making little noises when he couldn't get it to sound how he wanted. He hummed to himself, then he began strumming a melody.
He poked his tongue out, he dropped his focus on his guitar as he got into playing. He gazed up at me with those sparkling hazel eyes, which seemed to be bluish-gray tonight. He cleared his throat again and hummed to begin singing, "Dreams, yeah, all of mine came true. Words, I'd never thought I'd hear from you. The way, you, stare into my eyes. Please stay, right here by my side, by my side. You're all I want, you're all I need, it's you..."
His voice was perfect. The perfect pitch, the perfect tempo. I melted in his words, I was amazed. Acoustically, everything was perfection. My eyes began to blink furiously, am I crying right now? He bit his lip and continued strumming away, little whispers and hums escaping from his mouth. He smiled shyly, "Sorry, I still have to think of more for that part..."
I stared at him, unable to speak. I wanted to speak but my brain turned to mush again, that girly, bubbly feeling taking over. Was this song about me? I watched him, gawking at him in awe, he gave me a crooked smile, "I'm not done yet! Eh-hm, you are the girl, the one I need. There's nobody else in this world, I feel complete. It's you, it's you. You are the girl that's in my dream, there's nobody else in this world, I feel complete. It's you. You're all I want, you're all I need, it's you.."
He eased out of the song, slowing the strum on his guitar, stroking it one last time as the melody faded out. He smiled at me, "What'd you think?"
I paused, racking my brain for the perfect statement. I hadn't even realized that tears were streaming down my face until I felt the chillness of it slide down my cheek. I fanned my face, biting my lip trying to talk. After what seemed like years, I found the perfect words, "Come here."
Giving him no time to react, I pulled his face into mine. His guitar was our only separation, he still stroked the strings trying to play, moaning in my mouth. The kiss was like our other kisses, but it had its own twist, so in a way it was still different. The spark was different, but it still gave me that bolt it always had, but stronger. His soft, succulent lips caressed mine, I tugged on his bottom lip, feeling the warmth of his breath dance across my skin. I smiled in the kiss, pulling away slowly to look at him. His voice was deep, "You're so distracting."
I smirked at him, going in to bite down on his lip gently. I loved it, I love him. I ran my thin fingers in his hair, loving the feeling of his curls. A bright flash out of the corner of my eye snatched my attention. Little did I know that small distraction would be the trigger of a much larger issue, nearly ruining my perfect night with my perfect guy.
