Chapter 8, Part 1: Master Burain will help us.

Chapter 8 :

Part 1 : Master Burain will help us .

1216 after JC, the North castle and in the Red mountains.

Pile's POV:

Red's arms wrap my chest. he is still asleep. He is breathing calmly and I can feel his lips against my skin. We are both naked and I love to feel him against me. I love him so much.

Last night was so intense. He is still a shadow but I feel his warmth. I play with his ring.

Someone quietly knocks at the door and enters. I close my eyes but let them open enough to watch. It's a little page who brings the bottle of Valéris decoction. He puts it on the table. He looks toward me. He is not surprised. That just confirmed that no one can see Red.

The page leaves my bedroom.

I turn my body and face Red. I want to slowly wake him up. I kiss his eyebrows and closed eyeslids. And then I slowly kiss his softs lips. He wakes up and smiles against my lips. He opens his eyes. His eyes are so dark. I love him.

"Morning my prince. You sleep well?"

"Yes, you too?"

"Yes, you gave me so much tonight that I was totally exhausted. I slept like a baby"

I blush when he evokes our night. He takes my chin in his hand and makes me look at his eyes.

"And you enjoyed it too, right? I keep to hear you screaming and moaning. Your body missed my body a lot."

He smiles and I blush.

He knows all of my thoughts and he is sure that I enjoyed it a lot. But he loves to tease me a little to make me blush. Then he kisses me too.

"A page brings a bottle of decoction in the room earlier"

"Don't drink it anymore my prince. This decoction is dangerous. Némis came to see me when I was jailed. She told me herself that she wanted to kill you. You must be extremely careful and avoid her as much as you can. Don't drink or eat anything she will give to you. Don't let her approach you. She is a wizzard she can play a trick on you to hurt you"

I am little afraid by his words.

"I prefer to let you know. She is really dangerous. I try to tell you earlier. Before the guards catch me, I found the prophecy and Némis is named"

"She is the red person I must avoid?"

"Yes, her last goal is to kill you"

I shiver. Red hugs me tightly.

"Don't worry. I will protect you. But I must find a way to get my body back. I feel that I lost energy by trying to stay here in the form of a shadow"

I already miss him. I wash and prepare myself. I leave the room.

I have no luck. I meet Némis in the corridor. I smile to her, trying to hide my anxiety and fear. I excuse myself and say that I can't stay with her. I leave her trying to walk quietly as I feel her glance behind me.

But I just want to ran and meet Red. I am so scared. I hope she trusts me. I ask to a guard where is Master Burain 's bedroom. He gives me the direction and finally I arrive in front of his door. I knock and I hear Master Burain speaking:

" Come in"

I enter. His room is cosy. Full of paper everywhere, on the table, chairs, in his library, on the bed. A fire purrs in the fireplace. I see a lot of stranges objects in the table, phials and test tubes. He carries out experiments in his room. He wears glasses and looks totally busy.

"Come in my prince, please sit down"

And he clears two chairs so we can discuss. I don't know how to begin the conversation.

"You come to talk about Red?"

"How do you know?"

"I want to talk about him too. I was sure he will come to see you again. You two have a special relationship"

I put my mind at rest when I see that he is understanding. I tell him everything. The fact that Red is a shadow now. The fact that I am sure Red is not my attacker.

"Is he with us now?"

"I think yes. But he doesn't show himself"

Master Burain says:

"Red can you try to show yourself if you are here?"

"Yes, master"

And I see Red appearing, just a shadow first and there an image of him more firm. Master Burain can see him too.

"Yes, I am his protector. Master, my prince is in great danger. When we were in the library I found the prophecy. It was hidden but I found it. The prophecy named Némis as the red person who will try to kill the prince. She is very dangerous"

"You found it?"

"What can we do master? I think we must inform the king. Némis is dangerous and the prince cannot be married with her. We must try to exile her. She confessed that her last goal is to kill the prince. She said she used a decoction. Something really strong to make Face appears again. And to force bad feelings to stay in his heart. She told me the name but I don't remember, something that begins with Va ... "

"Valéris?"

"Yes, that's right. Valéris"

"Yes, the taste and smell is bitter and that increased my anger"

"Yes, you must stop to drink it. The Valéris is a strong poison. It kills all the positive memories inside. It can make you heart becoming cold. It's mortal! The only antidote I know is the Destiny's decoction"

Red says:

"what can we do against her"

"I understand everything you said but I think we need piece of evidences to show to the king. He cannot trust Red like that. He is still convinced that he tried to kill his grandson. Also he is attached to Némis, he enjoys her company and she hides her trueself in front of the king. She is always jovial and kind with him"

Master Burain stops and we let him time to gather his thoughts.
