Chapter 7, Part 3: The shadow's POV.

Part 3: the shadow's POV.

Red's POV:

I am a shadow now.

I did what the book described. I became a shadow and fled out of the jail leaving the irons on the ground. The problem is that I don't know how to get back to normal. I am a shadow and no one can see me except the prince. He must think that I am an illusion .

He sees and hears me. And I can touch him too.

I am hugging him as he falls asleep . He must be tired. I wil stay with him. I think that Némis will try to kill him again. For now, she is furious and she searchs for me all the days. Of course, she hides her true self to others. I watch after her and she keeps smiling and talking nicely to everyone. But when I see her in the room I see the fury in her. She broke some of her vases. She is really angry that I escaped and she is wondering how I did that.

But even if I want it I can't even explain myself how I did that .

When I was in her bedroom, I saw that she transformed herself as a guard to kept searching for me without no one noticing her. So, that's how she did earlier. She took my form to made the prince believing that was me who attacked him.

She is indeed a skilful magician. I must be extra careful. She is dangerous.

The next day, I wake up first and without touching it I push my light in the fire to rekindle it. I look at my prince. He slept curled up against my body and he is still sleeping.

He is smiling in his dream. It seems that he is well refreshed. His headache dissapeared. Since I made the bottle of decoction falling in the ground, his headache kept decreasing. Face started to dissapear step by step.

No he is not dissapearing, he is still here but it seems that Pile and Face just mix themselves together.

I look by the window. The hunt begins. Every warriors is so busy to find me. I hear the prince yamning. I turn my head.

He is so beautiful. I can see him stretching like a cat. His tatoo shines a lot as the sun plays with it. His mood is better. Someone knocks at the door and enters. It's a servant.

"Morning my prince"

"Morning"

"I bring to you something to eat. Master Burain said that you will certainly like this. Also, he asks you to prepare to travel. He will accompany you to the grave of Master myrthe"

My prince nods.

The servants bows and leaves. I see that my prince is thinking to Master myrthe.

"It's okay my prince, I think he will be happy to know that you will come to see him"

"Yes, I know Red"

He replies to me as if I was next to him. So I decide to reveale myself. He looks at me. He is not afraid to see me anymore. He is used to see my shadow.

He looks at the meal the servant brought . It's pudding.

He comes closer to the table and starts to eat.

"you remember when Maelynn cooked pudding, we hid in the kitchen and we stole a piece of it to eat it secretly "

He looks at me and smiles.
