Chapter 16:

Luke had sorta gotten out of his funk. I really did feel bad for him. I really hope he finds someone soon. I have no doubt that he will, just look at the kid.

Michael and I walk hand in hand down the sidewalk, Luke a few steps behind. He didn't mind though because he was too busy on his phone.

"What are you even doing on your phone?" I ask him. He seems so focused.

"I got this new game and I literally am addicted to it. I can't stop playing. I always feel like I have to beat my best- fuck!" He yells as he messes up.

"Dude, it's a game, chill" Michael laughed.

"Have you ever seen you play FIFA?" Luke replied.

"Shut up Luke" Michael turned around, shoving him a bit.

Since Luke was so caught up with his phone, he lost his balance when Michael shoved him, sending him tumbling over into some girl next to him.

"Fuck, I'm so sorry, my friends shoved me and I wasn't paying attention and-" he kept rambling to the girl who spilt coffee all over herself because of Luke but he's cut off by her.

"Oh my god, you're Luke, like Luke Hemmings" she breathed out.

"Uh, yeah, that's me" he rubs the back of his neck awkwardly with a small chuckle.

When he looks up at her, his eyes widen. "Mallory?!" He asks in shock.

Michael and I look over at each other with raised eyebrows, completely confused about what's going on.

"It's so good to see you again!" He grinned, hugging her to his chest and she flushes a bit, hugging back.

"Yeah, it is! How has the rockstar life been treating you?" She smiles up at him.

"It's been unbelievably amazing" he chuckled. "How has the college life been going for you?"

"I dropped out, it wasn't really my thing" she shook her head. "I help teach art at a small studio downtown now actually"

"That's amazing! I know you used to really love art, you were really good too." he says nicely.

You can tell she's humble by the way her cheeks heat up a bit and she nods her head a bit.

"Michael right?" She turned to Michael and he raises an eyebrow.

"That's me and I'm sorry but I've got no idea who you are" he chuckled a bit.

"Mallory, we went to school together a while back" she giggled at him.

"Oh! Mal!" He said. "I remember you, you're the girl Luke would never shut up ab-" he starts but he can't finish because Luke is kicking his leg, telling him to shut up.

"Right..." She giggled a bit, blushing like she was previously. "And you would be...?" She smiles at me.

"Allison" I smile at her in return. "Michael's girlfriend" I say happily.

"Ohh, how cute" she grinned at Michael and I but I can also sense a hint of relief in her eyes. She must be glad I'm not Luke's girlfriend...

"Well it was amazing seeing you again Michael and Luke and it was lovely meeting you Allison but I've got another coffee to buy and a handful of art students to teach" she chuckles before starting to walk away.

"Wait!" Luke grabbed her wrist, stopping her from going anywhere. "Let me buy you another coffee to, you know, make it up to you" he flashed her a charming smile.

She bit her lip as she looked up at him and nodded her head happily. "I'd love that Luke" she said softly.

Luke looks back to us but Michael shoves him over to Mallory. "Go have fun children!" Michael says as we walk away, letting them be alone.

I chuckle at him and nudge his side a bit. "Weirdo" I mutter playfully.

"Nerd" he nudges me back and I giggle.

"Touché Clifford" I kiss his cheek making him smile happily.

We soon got back to the bus, getting on and sitting on the couch, waiting for Luke to come back so we can get going to the next city. We watch Friends as we wait for him.

"Where is Luke?" Ash asks as he plops down on the couch beside me.

"He found a lady friend" Michael says and I giggle.

"He bumped into a girl he apparently had a crush on in high school" I tell him.

"Awww" Ashton gushes.

"I think he has me to thank, I'm the one who shoved him!" Michael exclaims making me snort.

"Did you just snort?" Ashton giggled as he looked over at me.

"What?! No!" I shake my head, blushing.

"You did! Aww, you're so adorable!" Michael pinches me cheek but I seat his hand away.

"I'm punk rock, not cute" I whine and he rolls his eyes playfully.

"You guys are literally the same person, I swear" Ashton shook his head.

"Except she has boobs and a vagina" Michael points out and I choke on air before laughing loudly.

"Michael! Oh my god!" I shine him.

"What?! It's true! And I have a dick!" He defends.

"Oh dear god, I've had enough of this anatomy lesson" Ashton gets up, walking away.

I giggle, shaking my head. "See what you did, you made Ashton leave" I pout playfully at him.

"Good, that means alone time with you" he smiles at me.

"Ohhh, sounds like things are gonna get sexy" I wiggle my eyebrows playfully.

"Oh you know it" he laughed before cupping my cheek and bringing his lips to mine, this being the first kiss we've ever had that was longer than just a peck.

I kiss back gently, smiling against his lips and I feel his smile against mine. My whole body feels warm and fuzzy at the feeling of his soft and perfect lips moving against mine.

He slowly pulls back, resting his forehead on mine. "I love you Allison" he says gently and I smile happily at his words.

"I love you Michael"
