The small town of Suburnia is a quiet town with not much bad accidents occurring. The story is set in the 1700s, colonial times. The world has been easy on Suburnia, about too easy. For the crops and luck of the town are slowly going down, causing rackets and finger pointing to each other. When bad things happen, people look for any way to accuse someone. No one will be safe, everyone is a suspect.
"Quit all the screaming and pay attention to me," Terezi shouted, pounding a mallet on the desk.
"Terezi calm down, we're not even yelling that much," Vriska teased. No one understood why she was here at a town meeting. She's the traitor but, she's also part of the town so there's no way anyone could tell her no. Terezi grumbled a bit.
"Everyone calm down," John commanded, no one did listen though. This was court not church, it was expected for the townspeople to obey their priest but it's different now. Dave sighed slamming his face onto the table which was in front of him.
"Why don't we all settle down and talk about this rationally?" Kanaya said soothingly, sitting in a chair cross-legged while everyone else was standing.
"I don't even understand what's the motherfucking deal," Gamzee called out facing forward leaning on his chair, which was facing behind him.
"W- will everyone quit being low- w life w- weirdos and stop talking so w- we can actually get something done for once?!" Eridan shouted slamming his hand onto the table he was behind.
"Blah blah blah. No one cares. We have to start this fucking meeting before everything goes to hell. Someone is messing with our only food supply and messing with our minds," things were getting out of hand, Karkat was not helping.
"Well, I'll have to disagree with Karkat... I couldn't think of anybody wanting to do something like that here, we're all friends here aren't we?" Feferi agreed standing trying to get her word out.
"Well jee thanks Feferi, now everyone sit your asses down and shut your good for nothing mouths for one fucking moment so we can do something for once," Karkat shouted, slamming both his hand on the table in front of him. It was surprising the table didn't break.
"Thats w- what I was trying to say," the rich man slowly sat down sighing, "but no one listens to Eridan do they."
"No, no 'w- we' don't," Karkat sighed crossing his arms walking to the front of the courthouse, "Anyway let's get things moving."
"By moving, what does that mean? Is someone in trouble?" Nepeta asked sitting respectively.
"Yes- Well no. I'm not sure to be exact. But I could sense something different. Everything was accordingly, we should have had at least somewhat a decent growing season but, sadly this is not the case whatsoever. So, I have two theories," he paced the front speaking then stopped in the middle of the small room scanning everybody in their seats. Everyone was in rows at a table. Everyone was in order; Aradia, Tavros, Sollux, Karkat- well an empty seat where he used to be sitting, Nepeta, Kanaya, Vriska, Equius, Gamzee, Eridan, Feferi, John, Dave, an empty seat left for Rose, Jade, and then Terezi in the very front of the courthouse where she sat to deliver verdicts and ensure all criminal trials are fair using all the rules.
Karkat was about to speak, "Wait. Where the hell is Rose?"
"I think she's in her house," Jade answered on the end of the table. Karkat facepalmed groaning loud, "Should I go get her?"
"Yes please do," Karkat groaned pointing to the door.
Jade nodded getting up from her chair walking to the door. Dave watched her leave lifting his head up a bit.
