Karkat Vantas. A very unpopular, short, and short-tempered troll. But Dave himself wants his eyes to stay hidden, and nobody else has ever seen them. He thinks that if anyone did, they would make fun of him and his good reputation would immediately disappear. The two, basically opposites, find that they actually might get along and relate to each other. But who knows what a simple sentence could do? Malaika Kya. Angel from the diamond sky. For eons she wandered, visiting many kingdoms and gaining many friends. She battled battles that many would have died from, protecting those she holds dear. Slowly, her family began to grow. Person by person, home by home, kingdom by kingdom. Her heart spreading the biggest of wings. But then it happened. The one she loved most was attacked, almost dying because of someone's idiocy. And so she fought. She fought for her dying family, soon gaining the powers of the internal flame buried deep inside her. Screeching her painful cry, she fought in her new form with all her might. But it wasn't enough as it's hand sprouted from her body. Tears fell from the eyes of her lover, his eyes wide as he watched her body wither in pain. Hey dark eye were gentle a she watched his physical pain disappear, his wounds sealed shut as he snatched her closer one more time. Softly she apologized, saying words she wanted so badly to say before sealing their goodbye with a kiss.
