Chapter 3

STILL Luke's POV

Beau shifted me home and I quickly began firing questions. "Dude where the fuck have you been? "What did you inject me with?" "Why were you at Penola?" Before I could ask anymore, he clicked his tongue and threw me into a wall. "Shut it!" He hissed, his mood swinging from happy to pissed in a matter of seconds. "Okay." He was smiling now, probably PMS.

"I had to leave, I was risking my families life, and I couldn't live with that." He begun. "Why?" I asked curiously. "There were these guys that knew our secret, really powerful guys, so, I lead them away and ripped apart there throats." My jaw dropped. "You d-drank a human?" He shook his head. "I drank vampire dip stick!" I now felt stupid. "Ohh."

"Now," He sat down in mid air... holy crap that's cool. "As for the thing I injected you, it's a potion thing that dies down the changing. It stops you before you kill someone." That's really smart. "And as for why I was at Penola stalking you, well, I wanted to see my little brothers, is that a crime now?" He said smirking.

I've missed Beau, he's been gone for about a year now. I never really knew why until now, I always thought it was because of that terrible day Jai and I got our fangs.

*Flashback*

"Well, seeings as we're sixteen in a minute, how about we make a toast!" Jai suggested. We grabbed our cokes and raised them high into the night sky. "To the years ahead of being stuck will this dick next to me!" I said smirking. He rolled his eyes. "Yeah, what he said." We heard the clock strike midnight and cheered. "Sweet sixteen bitches!" I yelled. I then noticed how big and bright the moon was tonight, it was so... beautiful.

"Do you feel any different?" Beau asked, suddenly sitting next to us. "No, why?" Jai said taking another sip of his coke. Beau shifted uncomfortably. "Well, when I turned sixteen I...um...ugh this is so much harder than I thought!"

He stood up and stared at us. "Do you like news the easy way or the hard way, cause i'm up for either." Jai and I exchanged glances. "Uh, easy?" I said as more of a question. Beau sighed and stared at us. "Jai, Luke, I'll say it straight up." He took a deep breath. "You both, along with me and mum are v-" "Shit." Jai said suddenly, rubbing his gut.

"What?" I asked, glancing at Beau who looked worried. "I feel sick!" Jai moaned. I stood up and laughed. "Well don't vomit on me-" I then began to feel weird in the gut. Jai and I both stared at Beau for an answer. "I...you...me...I just...can't!" He said angirlly pacing around. "Okay," He said finally, after more complaining from us. "What's about to happen is normal, the human in you is just dying, okay."

We stared at him in disbelief. "You're joking right?" Jai asked, still holding his gut. "What are you on man?" I said, trying to stand up but helplessly falling back down, yelping in pain at the tightness in my stomach. Jai suddenly screamed out in pain and vomited up black goo. My eyes widened, and I then did exactly the same thing.

Beau looked at us, pain in his eyes. "I went through this okay, it doesn't hurt...much." I groaned and vomited again. "Much?!" I shouted angrily. "What the fuck is going on?!" Jai insisted. I froze as my gut began to burn like crazy. I glanced at Jai and as I thought, he was doing the same thing.

My teeth began to hurt and my eyes began to sting. "OW!" Jai screamed, rubbing his mouth. "BEAU! SERIOUSLY!" I yelled. "WHAT THE FUCK!" Jai and I said in unison. Beau kneeled down next to me and held my hand to his heart... which wasn't beating. I tried to pull away, but he didn't let me. "Don't you DARE!" He growled, making me shake a little.

"Luke," He began, his eyes turning a dark shade of red. "Why do you think I always won breathing contests after my 16th?" I shook my head, pretending not to know, even though I did. "Hmm, why do you think I have never been to the doctor after I turned 16?" I was beginning to freak out. "THINK LUKE! WHY DO YOU THINK I HAVE BEEN COLD, DISTANT AND UNEASY EVER SINCE I TURNED 16?!" Do I want to know? "YES YOU WANT TO KNOW LUKE! BECAUSE YOU ARE ABOUT TO GO THROUGH ALL OF THAT!" How did he- "DO THAT? ME, YOU, JAI, MUM, WE ARE VAMPIRES LUKE! AND YOU ARE ABOUT TO TURN INTO ONE!" And that's when I saw it... his fangs.
