Chapter 10

Skye's POV

I woke up in an unfamiliar room, completely dazed, feeling some what different. "Are you crazy?" Someone asked beside me. I spun around, my hair wacking Daniel in the face. "Ow." He mumbled, making me giggle. "Why would I be crazy?" "Well you drank Beau's blood-" That's all I needed to hear.

I was suddenly in the corner of the room, freaking out badly. I already knew what had happened, Beau had explained it all to me, I just can't believe it.

"Where is everyone?" I managed to say, ignoring the whole 'I'm a vampire thing'. "In the kitchen, you're in Beau's room, it was my shift to look after you." I raised an eyebrow. "Shift?" "Yeah, it's been a week." My jaw dropped. "Wow." He stood up, walking me out of the room. "Yeah I know, the twins have been worried sick." He suddenly stopped. "Do you still feel compelled to do everything Jai says?" I thought for a second. "No?" "Good, it's worn off."

Everything flooded back to me from that night, I just sighed, and put on a brave face, knowing everything will turn out fine, eventually.

I walked into the kitchen, everyone stopping what they were doing to look at me. "Hey." I said awkwardly, Beau standing up and pulling me into a hug. "I am so fucking sorry okay, Richard made me do it, it wasn't my fault I swear!" He ranted. I just smiled, and told him it was okay. I noticed Chad was also here, his face showing he was thinking.

I sat down, so did Daniel, Luke handing me something awkwardly. "I'm guessing you'll need this." He whispered, me seeing a bottle of blood now in my hands. For some reason, I didn't want it, and they all noticed. "Why aren't you drinking?" Gina asked, I shrugged. "Not thirsty." They laughed. "Trust me, new bloods are thirsty, that bottle should be empty by now." I shook my head, Chad's eyes widening. "Unless.." He trailed off, suddenly staring at Beau.

"Your blood, now." He ordered, Beau reluctantly biting his arm, pouring it in a bottle. "Something isn't right. This whole family, you-" He said, pointing at me. "You're not right." Jai scoffed. "Thanks." Chad was suddenly gone, Gina looking at the clock. "School." She simply said, the twins jaws dropping. "But Skye she just-" "I don't care, take care of her, her family obviously don't care."

They couldn't care, they were in Italy right now, living the dream.

*At school*

We had a fill in teacher for science, who just happened to be my history teacher, who also happened to love talking about myths and legends. Catch my drift? No? He loves the supernatural, and one of them is sitting next to me, who just happens to hate Mr Brian. Hell, I might even be one of them for all I know.

"So today Mr Graham isn't here, so we aren't exactly going to do science for these 2 periods." I rolled my eyes, making Luke laugh. "Everything okay Mr Brooks?" Luke nodded. "Everything's fine Mr Brian." He cracked a smile. "Good." He was hiding something, I could tell.

Mr Brian began to talk about the civil war or something, making me zone out. I couldn't wrap my head around the fact I could be turning into a vampire, I just couldn't bring myself to it. They said this was the start of the turning, nothing would happen yet, but in the next couple of days I would start to get cravings and shit. Unless Chad could figure something out, I knew he was coming to a conclusion to why I was turning this slow, maybe this just happened every once in a while.

"Now, to talk about something more relevant to teens of this age, we'll start talking about vampires." Mr Brain said, looking directly at Luke. Yep, he knew something. There were laughs and conversations in the classroom, Mr Brian telling everyone to be quiet.

"Now, I don't mean the Twilight pussies," Everyone laughed, even Luke. "I mean the old fashioned ones, the ones from legend, the interesting and not sparkling ones." He glanced around the room before stopping at Luke. "Do you happen to know anything about vampires Mr Brooks?" More than you know. "I know that they like to drink blood, drink blood, and are never ugly." He smirked, Mr Brian frowning.
