Chapter 9

Skye's POV

As I was sitting outside, completely stuck in my own thoughts, a sudden breeze hit me, Jai suddenly next to me. "Holy shit!" I squeled, almost face planting. He giggled, helping me upright. "Sorry." I shrugged. "It's fine, I have to get used to the whole freaky vampire shit now."

It was quiet for a second, until Jai spoke up. "I really want to know what they want with Luke." I sighed, thinking about how confusing and serious this topic is. "I know, but I have no idea what it could be." He bit his lip, suddenly gazing up into the full moon. "You know, a full moon supposedly makes Supernatural beings go crazy, like, werewolves turn and shit, and vampires have this mad craving for blood."

I cringed thinking about it. "Is it true?" He nodded, my eyes widening. "That's why James and Daniel have gone, and Chad has probably gone to do witchy shit." I gulped. "What about you?" "Well, we only properly loose control on a blood moon, which is at the end of every month at midnight exactly." Holy shit, did he know what day it was? "Jai, you do know today is the last day of September?" I could see his body tensing. "And it's minutes to midnight." (A/N Reminded me of Linkin Park)

He was suddenly standing, running his hands through his hair. "But, oh my god, usually we have this all figured out, but after everything that has been happening.. fuck!" He ran into the house, Beau and Gina standing there, staring at him. "It's tonight!" He said breathless, Gina obviously taking the hint. "Grab Beau and go downstairs, now." Downstairs? They have a basement. "It's where they get locked up for blood moons." Gina said. "Why aren't you?" She chuckled. "I'm old dear, the blood moon is childs play for me now."

I ran after them, Gina warning me not too close to the door when they're in there. I walked down the wooden stairs to be meet by a sealed up brick cell, the only thing you could use to see inside was the front of the door, that had a gap with bars. "Skye?" Jai said, his head now filling the gap. "Yeah it's me." "Is it time?" I looked at my phone, seeing it just switch, an eerie red glow now filling the room from the window at the side.

I heard a painfull groan, forcing myself not to go too close to the door. There was a bang on the door, more noises coming from the two. "It hurts!" Jai cried, a sudden scream filling my ears. I didn't know what to do or how to react, so i just said comforting things, until everything fell silent. "Beau? Jai?" I asked, ignoring my previous thoughts and walking up to the door.

I peered in, seeing Beau in the corner, right up against the wall, his whole eyes fully red. But I didn't see Jai. "I'm here." He said, his face suddenly right where I was looking. His eyes were the same as Beau's, the whole eye red, the tiny dilated pupil black in the middle. "Does it hurt anymore?" He shook his head, his teeth suddenly showing. "It feels great." He smirked, suddenly looking at me weirdly.

"Can you come closer?" I knew what he meant instantly, so not wanting a replay of last time, I backed away slightly. He literally growled at me, before reaching his hand past the bars and grabbing my arm, forcing it into the cell, the two dots still there, red and puffy from where he was forced to bite me before. "Jai, don't." He looked at me, eyeing me off slightly. "Why?"

"Because we're friends, i'm not food, plus, you'll regret it when you turn normal again." He suddenly laughed, making me puzzled. "Wait wait wait, you don't think this is the normal me?" I nodded. "You think that this is the other side of me, the bad side?" I nodded again. What was he getting at? "This is me Skye, this is Beau, this is Luke. We are vampires, being human is the act for us, being a vampire is normal for us. This is the real me, I thought you knew?"

I was gobsmacked, and frantically tried to get my arm back, but Jai wouldn't have it. He just chuckled, and sunk his teeth into my flesh, his eyes turning an even darker shade of red. "JAI STOP IT!" Gina cried, quickly pulling me away. "Oh god, holy, JAI!" She cried, me seeing him smirk, wiping my blood off his face. "DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS?!" She screamed, looking at me sadly. "What?" He asked amused. "Biting someone on a blood moon turns them." I felt my heart in my throat. Holy shit. I'm turning into one of them.
