Skye's POV

*1 Week Later*

All the way through school, Luke was uneasy, REALLY uneasy. If someone bumped into him, he tensed, looked around quickly, and walked away hastily. It was all because of the 'Richard thing' as we called it. We haven't really talked about it much, everyone's freaked out about what Richard said about Luke, and how he's special and dangerous in some way.

I sat in science, Luke jumping every time the door opened and closed. "Calm down Luke." He breathed out heavily. "I can't." Mr Graham looked at us weird, continuing with whatever he was talking about. "So, today we'll be heading to the Melbourne Museum, everyone handed in their forms right?" There were mumbles of 'yes', Mr Graham nodding, and telling us where to meet the bus.

I sat next to Luke, who looked deathly pale. "You'll be fine." I whispered. He shook his head. "I can't be out in public, not now, not like this." I sighed. "Just stick with me, I have Beau on speed dial, okay?" He nodded, beginning to stare out the window, not saying a single word until we got there.

Mr Graham, me, Luke, and a girl called Kate were stuck in a group, as no one else wanted to walk around with us, which hurt a little, but at least I was with Luke, who really needed me right now. I pushed my hair out of my face, gripping Luke's hand firmly, him smiling slightly.

As we were in the human body section of the museum, I saw Luke staring at Kate weirdly. Suddenly, they were both gone. I began to panic. "Luke!" I called out, peering around corners, looking everywhere for him, Mr Graham joining in too. There was suddenly a gasping near the corner of the room. I pointed over to where I heard it, Mr Graham walking over cautiously.

He quickly ran the opposite way, a worried look on his face. I peered around the corner, seeing Kate pinned up against the wall, Luke knawing at her neck like she was nothing. I felt a lump forming in my throat. I have never actually seen Luke feed on anyone, only from a bottle or bag. I've never seen him like this before. "LUKE!" He pulled away, his eyes.. black, just like Richard's, his fangs out and stained red.

"What?!" He snapped, picking Kate back up, biting at her neck again. I was more scared of someone seeing all of this, not what Luke was actually doing. Mr Graham suddenly appeared, a flower type thing in his hand. "Futin?" I whispered, him throwing a piece at Luke.

Unlike last time, it didn't faze him.

My eyes widened. "What's wrong with him?" I heard a snap, and saw Kate on the ground, her head bent the wrong way, Luke standing over her, his eyes still black and lifeless. I walked over slowly, Mr Graham warning me not to. "Luke?" I asked, putting my hand on his shoulder. "Luke, step away from her, now."

Luke winced, his eyes flickering back to the gorgeous brown colour I was used to. "What happened?" He asked breathless, wiping his mouth, his eyes widening at the blood he saw. "Don't look down," I warned him. "Don't you dare." Sadly, he didn't listen, and looked down at his feet, Kate's blank eyes piercing into his own.

I expected him to collapse, and cry out about why he did this, but he didn't, he did something unexpected.

He laughed.

You heard right.

He laughed, staring at her, dead at his feet.

"It worked." He muttered, staring at me. "What worked?" Mr Graham asked, pulling me over to him, further away from Luke. "I can control him now." I gasped, knowing exactly what was going on. "No, R-Richard?" He nodded, stepping closer to me, stroking my cheek. Luke's eyes weren't filled with love and worry anymore, they were filled with something.. evil. It was so weird, seeing Luke as not Luke?
