Chapter 8

Skye's POV

Everyone sat at the table silently, even Jai, who still hadn't gotten any blood yet, well, human blood that is, seeings as I was told warlock or any other supernatural blood doesn't do shit for your hunger. Chad coughed awkwardly, seeing Jai's intense glare directed at him. "Skye could you let Jai take your arm for a sec, please?" I knew instantly what he meant, and held my arm protectively. "No." I simply said, seeing everyone looking at me. "I'm not a human blood bank."

I knew Jai wouldn't hurt me, it was the vampire Jai I was worried about. The things you watch, and the things you read are wrong. As much as you think they can control the thirst, as much as they say they can, they can't, it's a natural instinct for them; that instinct being kill. Seeing Jai like thay was especially worse, seeing his cute little puppy dog face morph into a deadly predator is just fucking scary.

He's still hot though i'll give him that.

Wait, I thought I was developing feelings for Luke, NOT Jai.

Actually, I don't know anymore, I really don't know.

"Skye, just do it." Luke muttered, still shaken up from what had happened. I groaned, about to move when Jai was sitting next to me, smirking. "Your arm?" I hesitantly held my arm out, him gratefully taking it. His fangs appeared, and his eyes turned red, making me jump. What am I doing? I can't do this. Richard biting me was bad enough, and I was out of it then, now i'm fully awake and knowing what's about to happen, I can't. "You can." Jai whispered, my eyes widening. He heard that? "Yeah, I did."

Without another word, Jai pulled my arm up to his mouth, his teeth sinking in gently. I bit my lip, feeling the blood being drained from me. Everyone looked on wearily, a part of me knowing they were unsure of what Jai was gonna do. I heard them all talking, he's unstable, worse than Luke even, he just doesn't show it, he's put a poker face on his emotions. That, that there made me worry.

Jai moaned, and gripped onto my arm with both hands so firmly his knuckles were going white. My eyes widened, and I knew now this wasn't right. "Stop it!" I snapped, slapping his shoulder. His head shot up, his eyes bearing right into mine, my blood dripping from him lips. "Oh, okay." He said with a smirk, pushing me off my chair and sitting on me. "For the arm that is." He winked, leaning down to my neck, me feeling his teeth sink in again.

I sqealed, the pain worse than my arm. Beau and Chad came over, attempting to pull Jai away, but he wouldn't move. I gasped, feeling everything suddenly going numb. "STOP!" I screamed, suddenly whisked away, held in secure arms. I saw blood stained fingers, and instantly knew it was Luke. Forgetting what he had done, and ignoring the pain I was in, I held onto him so tightly if he was human he would have had the air knocked from his lungs.

Pulling away, I saw Jai on the ground, not looking sorry, but actually looking more hungry. "Get your fucking neck back here!" He spat, standing up, Daniel standing between him and me. Jai laughed, and shoved Daniel away with ease. "Jai, calm down." Gina said, her eyes wide. "What? It's like you've never seen me like this!" He suddenly chuckled, glaring at me, but still talking to his mum. "You created me, you made me, you suffer the consequences of what i've become."

Luke pulled me back as Jai got closer, his whole body tensing. "Skye!" Jai taunted, suddenly up in my face. "Let me take some more, or i'll do something so no one will be able to take it again." My first thought was him killing me, I never thought of the other option. "No, kill me, they'll all disown you, then who would you have!"

I was violently thrown to the ground, Jai hovering over me, his eyes now black. Oh no.. it couldn't be.. Richard? My eyes widened, him putting his fingers to my lips. "Shh, don't, or i'll break his neck." I raised an eyebrow. "Who's?" He laughed. "Jai's you stupid girl." "But then you'll die!" I felt everyone's eyes now on me and Jai. "Why will he die?"
