DANCING QUEEN AND THE BEAST

Where did we go wrong?

                                                                        CHAPTER SIX

      Standing with my crew saturday night I couldn't stop shaking as I watched crew after crew compete.

      Blaze was standing on the other side of the town hall where the competitions were being held, he looked up his eyes taking in my pale complextion & shaking body & a smirk started to form & lift the corners of his mouth.

    Pulling my eyes away from him I watched the last dance crew before ours & Landons were to compete & knew that it was going to come down to us.

   Taking a deep breath I stepped out onto the dance floor with my crew to do our partnered routine.

   Lucas wrapped his arms around my waist staring down into my eyes his were filled with worry as he took in the state that I was in "Cara, are you sure you want to do this?" I looked over at Blaze then gave a tight nod "I'm sure because I will not give that asshole the satisfaction of seeing me squirm."

   Lucas nodded then got ready as the music started, I wrapped my legs around his waist allowing him to lift me from the floor & trusting that he wouldn't drop me.

   As we moved together it looked like we were lovers in the throws of passion making the crowd watching oh & ah as our movements grew more passionate then as the song changed we moved apart & started to dance like a couple about to break up & now hated each other.

    When we finished I raced to where my bag was sitting & grabbed my towel quickly wiping my face & chest before moving to watch Blaze & his crew perform.

   Watching him dance with a little dark headed girl like they were lovers had my hands clenching into tight fists until I forced myself to relax.

   Lucas stepped up behind me leaning his chin on my shoulder as we watched them perform spectacular moves & I felt my heart sink as I saw the judges watching & enjoying every minute of it.

   After they performed their single routines & ran of stage the judges started to deliberate while I watched I grew more & more anxious until I actually started to feel physically sick.

    Lucas squeezed my waist gently "relax Cara we will never let Blaze Landon hurt you no matter what bet he has made with you" I gave a sigh then tipped my head back to give him a weak smile "I know Lucas, & thank you" he nodded then bent to press a kiss to my cheek "no matter what those judges decide we are all glad that we are in your crew."

     One of the judges stepped up to the microphone signaling for everyone to be quite "okay everyone that competed tonight did really well with two of the teams being the best but as always there can only be one winner & that winner is, Blaze Landon & his team."

   Squeezing my eyes closed I felt tears begin togather & I felt defeated As Blaze & his crew ran on stage to take the dance trophy & thank the judges.

    Lucas pressed his lips to my cheek "remember what I said Cara & don't let him break your heart this time" I nodded then sighed "don't worry Blaze can not break my heart anymore" because he already has, I whispered to myself.

   As soon as they were of the stage they made their way over to us, Blaze in the lead with his stupid smirk already in place as he stopped in front of us "so Cara, I believe we had a bet so I ask that you come with me so I can discuss with you what I want."

    Blushing under everyone's gazes I followed behind Blaze as he left the hall & made his way to the carpark, when he saw that I was dragging my feet he grabbed my hand pulling me along with him.
