Nope. Not Klaine. Sorry, not sorry.
"Well, would you look at that." A young man marveled in surprise, his gold eyes light with shock and a big but astounded smile on his face.
"What Blaine?" His friend asked curiously, his glasz eyes wondering what Blaine was staring at.
"Look, Kurt." Blaine pointed across the Lima Bean to the thing he was so openly staring at. Kurt raised an eyebrow at his best friend's eagerness but looked anyway. Once he spotted it, his jaw dropped.
Across the coffee shop was a couple, laughing and sharing a coffee date together. They looked so perfectly happy together, expelling a contagious and collective aura of complete joy. Joy just from simply being together. The shocking thing about it was that the male of the pair was extremely familiar to the boys, wearing a white button up shirt and a blue-and-red tie with a pair of dark grey dress pants and shiny black shoes. The shirt's sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, and the boy had a silver Rolex on his left wrist, and a silver ring on his ring finger. A navy blue blazer with red piping was draped across the back of the chair, along with a brown leather school bag. The boy had sandy brown hair that was up in a perfect quaff, light and bright hazel eyes, and a nice suntan. It was none other than Sebastian Smythe, Captain of the Dalton Academy Warblers and Kurt and Blaine's rival for the past year. Kurt and Blaine could hardly believe thier eyes. Sebastian looked so happy. Content, relaxed, and at peace. There was no sign of the evil nature or scheming demeanor that the boys normally saw. His eyes were glowing with sheer delight and glee, and his wide smile could power the sun.
Sebastian met thier wondering eyes, and the compelling joyful air around them faded just a bit. He blinked in acknowledgement, and the girl he was with turned around in curiosity, wondering about the sudden change in the atmosphere. She had curly light blonde hair, deep chocolate eyes, and pale skin, with rosy cheeks, freckles, shell pink lips and long lashes. Recognition flared in her eyes, and she frowned at them, turning back around to face her date. "You know them?" Kurt and Blaine heard her say in distaste.
"Old rivals." Sebastian replied. "And you?"
"Know of them." She replied, and, even though they couldn't see it, Kurt and Blaine knew that she rolled her eyes. Sebastian's own eyes flared with memory and he nodded.
"Happy to know we're famous." Kurt commented, approaching the pair with Blaine at his side and coffee cups in each of their hands.
"Try infamous." She retorted. She was ignored by everyone but Sebastian, who shot her a smirk and a wink.
"Hummel. Anderson." Sebastian said.
"Smythe." Both boys replied. "You gonna introduce us?" Blaine prompted, gesturing to the blonde.
"Does he need to?" The girl sniffed indignantly, shooting the New Directions a cold look.
"Nice boots." Kurt complimented, admiring the tan leather footwear that stretched up to her knees over the light blue skinny jeans that matched the white long sleeved top and blue scarf around her neck. Draped across the back of her chair was a black blazer, and on her wrist was a silver charm bracelet and a matching silver ring to Sebastian's on her ring finger. Hers was slimmer, but still prettier. Each ring seemed to be engraved with some phrase the boys couldn't read.
She smirked. "Je dois une belle fesses , aussi. Pourquoi ne vous embrassez pas, Hummel?" Sebastian choked on his coffee, laughing even more at Kurt's surprised and offended expression.
"Voilà mon amour!" Sebastian approved, taking her left hand in his and kissing her ring finger.
She smiled at him. "Je l'espérais vous approuver, Chanteur." She replied. Sebastian smiled.
"Je fais." Sebastian responded with a proud gleam in his hazel eyes. Blaine was looking at Kurt for translation. He would have to ask the countertenor for French lessons.
"She just told me that she also has a nice butt, and suggested that I kiss it." Kurt translated, annoyed at the couple sitting at the table. "Sebastian basically congratulated her, she said she hoped he would approve, and he said that he did." Kurt frowned.
"That was rude." Blaine said. "What did Kurt do to you?"
"Oh, I don't know, ruin my one chance to get into Julliard and get out of Ohio?" She spat, glaring at them. "Not to mention interrupting my coffee date with my boyfriend." She muttered sourly. Sebastian squeezed her hand.
"Okay, how did I do that when I don't even know you?" Kurt demanded hotly. He was sick of this girl's attitude.
"Mademoiselle Alice Royal ici was a Troubletone." Sebastian replied once he saw that his date wasn't going to, flipping in between French and English. "When the New Directions-and it's all of your faults, not just Kurt's-won Sectionals, you eradicated the Troubletones, qui était Alice's ticket to Julliard."
"Thanks for nothing." Alice grumbled. "Now I'm stuck going to NYU, taking classes I don't need."
"Then why not join the New Directions?" Kurt demanded. "And why do you keep flipping between French and English? S'il vous plaît , je vous prie."
"I'm her French tutor." Sebastian replied, nodding at his girlfriend. "Flip flopping aller et retour helps. She reads and writes excellently, and her speaking is great, but there are a few kinks mettre au point."
"Well, could you quit for Blaine's sake?" Kurt retorted. "Poor kid's so confused."
"FYI, I tried to join the New Directions." Alice snapped, giving them a death glare. "But the high and mighty New Directions with the Holy Director William Schuester and Princess Rachel Berry were not interested in any additions to their sacred circle. They only cared about gaining back what they had lost."
"Only because you posed so much of a threat that Berry whined Schuester's ear off." Sebastian replied, kissing her fingers coaxingly.
"Darn straight." Alice agreed. "Can you two leave us alone now? I would like to enjoy my coffee date with my boyfriend, who I only get to see on the weekends."
"Buh-bye." Sebastian waved them away. Kurt and Blaine left with a huff, but didn't go very far. Unknown to the couple, all they did was duck around and find a table within earshot that was out of visual range. "Sorry, ma belle danseuse. Not my plan of a Saturday coffee date."
"Maybe it's time to find a new coffee shop." Alice suggested, tucking a blonde curl behind her ear.
"Maybe." Sebastian chuckled, kissing her sweetly on the lips. Alice giggled, and the joyful air around them was restored.
"Is it just me or are they perfect together?" Blaine whispered to Kurt, a tiny smile on his face.
Ta-Da! Hope you enjoyed!
