There was something not right with you. Something was unsettling you. But you couldn't put your finger on it. What is it?

Your heart beating hard and there was a small voice at the back of your mind saying you must not go to work today. But your position's as the King's advisor will not let you take a day off without any reasonable reason. Galloping your horse harder, you enter the palace's territory. Your once brothers in arms smiling at you and you exchanges a few embrace with them before you continued walking to your study. Seeing them after a long time warmed your heart a bit. You missed them. You totally missed your old life. Fill with adventures and actions, seeing the outside world and not only the stone walls. Not so boring and you do not have to sit all day, cramming your arse and staring at the papers. You breathe out a sigh. You hate your job.

Thrusting the silver key into the key hole, you pushed down the handle and sighed again. On your desk, there were stacks of papers needs to be sign and some need the responds from the King. And you had to read each one of them before briefing them to the King and write down his reply. You did not pay enough for all this shits. This is a hell brought down by Sauron.

After a few colourful curses flew out of your mouth, you started your usual routine. Stacking, putting them into their categories and skimming them. After a few parchments you felt your head swimming. Your head throbbing like there were a merry band of little hobbits dancing around with a mug of ale in hand. You knew you should stop but there still a few parchments that need your immediate attention. Deciding to finish it first, you rubbed your temple and continued, when it's all settled you excused yourself from the study. You hissed as you feel a thunder headache attacking. But fate was not very kind to you that day.

"(Y/N)!!!"

'Valar...there goes my hope in hoping for a day in peace. Why must you punish me so?' Another wave of pain made you staggered a bit. Forcing a smile you took a step back before turned your body to face the princess.

"Nandriel! What a surprise? You are always visiting Greenwood lately." You said with a fake sweet tone.

'Which I found that your visitation has become more and more annoying. Let me rest will you?'

"What do you need of me?" You asked her when her eyes met yours.

Nandriel smiled a little too wide for some reason, and blush covering her entire face. She fidgeted with the sleeve of her robes as her left leg slowly dragged back and forth.

"There is something I wish to discuss with you (Y/N)!" Her voice went into another pitch that a little too high for your liking. Preventing yourself from flinching, you gave her a tight smile. Your vision suddenly blurred out and you prayed to Valar to end the conversation quickly. Would not want to make our petite princess carry you down the infirmary are we?

"Really? What is it?"

'Quick, quick, quick.' You chanted in your head.

Nandriel closed her eyes and smile shyly.

'How much shade of blush she could actually do with her face?' You wondered.

The princess put a hand of her chest before letting out a dreamy sigh. "It is about love..."

Well damn me. You don't even know what is the real meaning of love and now she asking you of it. You could even consider yourself as emotional constipation when it comes to love. Love between friends and family you can understand but love between different gender is quiet hard for you to comprehend. True that there were a few elf that tried to court and woo you, and you gave each one of them a chance but none of them ignite the so call spark of love in your chest.

'Never ask anything about love to ME.'

"Fo-forgive me Nandriel, but I think it is better for you ask someone who have more experience about this than me. I don't have any experience..." and you started hesitantly.

Your boyish attitude makes all the ellon comfortable to spent time with you. Since you still an elfling, you rarely spent any of your time with the elleth of your age or the elder one. You drove to seek company from the boys. You preferred to wear the boy tunic than wearing any dress that hung in your wardrobe. You are more to weaponry rather than the healing art or cooking. You preferred climbing the trees and playing in the mud over playing hut and sewing dolls.

"It's okay...I interest in someone that you close with and because of that I need your help!" She pressed.

Ah, that is why she insisted on asking for your help. You really wanted to lie down. You dragged Nandriel out of the corridor and quickly sat down at the nearest chair. Black dots started to dance in your vision. You blinked furious to get rid of the black dots.

"So...who is the lucky ellon we talking about?" Nandriel's eyes glanced around wildly as if she was afraid that anyone would eve on her and whispered to you.

"It's Prince Thranduil..." and you went rigid.

"Thranduil?" You hissed. There was something flared in your heart and you feel the need to deny her plead in asking for your help.

"No Nandriel, how could you fell for him? He may look like an angel that never step over an ant, but he could be a real servant of Morgoth if wanted to be."

Why are you saying this? The blond prince means nothing to you. Why would you feel like this? This must be the sickness you are having right now, yes.

"Are you trying to pick a fight with me (Y/N)?" And the Morgoth's servant spoke out. Speak of the devil.

He truly love to sneak out on you! He grabbed the back of your shirt and dragged you away from Nandriel. You flailed your hand and kicking to escape from his deadly grip but fail. Internally thanking him for rescuing you from Nandriel's babbling of love.

"Oi! Release me you imp! " You yelled out hoping Thranduil will release you.

Did he hear the entire conversation? You hope not.

"Sneaky servant of Morgoth..." you muttered under your breath as you pout.

"Shut up you lowly pale Orc." he retorted.
