Zayn's Pov:
I spent the whole night thinking about what I was going to do. As much as I hate to say it Niall is the baby's father so I can't deny him his rights, But I'm not going to let him in so easily, I want to make sure he's serious before I do anything. I was returning to school today so I'd speak to him then. I sighed to myself as I picked up my school bag before making my way downstairs.
"Zayn can you come here for a moment please" My mum yelled from the sitting room.
"What's up mum?" I asked as I walked in.
"I wanted to know if you could call the boys round tonight to build the cot for the baby, I'm at work and the girls couldn't put it together if they tried, And you can't do any heavy lifting" She stated.
"Yeah sure I'll ask them to do it" I replied, She nodded her head.
"Are you sure your ready for today? I mean you can't risk getting stressed it's not good for the baby Zayn" My mum exclaimed.
"People were going to find out in the end mum, And I won't get stressed I've got Danny and Anthony with me" I assured her.
"Ok sweetheart, And don't forget about your scan today" She reminded me.
"I won't, Mum I have to go before I'm late, Have a good day, I love you!" I stated before leaving the house, I was now five months pregnant and you don't really think about it but all the walking tires you out so much.
The second I walked into school people were looking at me like I was a complete weirdo, Comments echoed all around me, Words like freak, Not normal, Weirdo, I ignored them as I walked straight into class, My eyes connected with Niall's as I made my way over to Ant and Danny.
"It's a good job someone can't actually burn a hole in your face by staring if they could we'd all have a massive gap by now" Danny stated as I sat down.
"You talking about Niall?" I asked.
"Yep" Danny replied.
"Have you decided what your gonna do?" Ant asked, I knew what he meant straight away.
"I'm gonna let him be in the child's life, As much as I want to I can't deny him his rights, But I'm going to make him prove himself first, Make sure he's serious" I informed them.
"How you going to do that?" Ant questioned.
"My mum brought the baby a cot, She asked me to get you guys to build it, But I'm going to ask Niall, It's not much but it's a start" I replied.
"No, It's a good idea, Niall normally goes out with his mates tonight so you can find out if he's serious about being there" Ant exclaimed.
"Exactly" I said.
"If he lets you down give us a call and I'll come round and put it together for you" Danny stated as the teacher walked in the room.
After our first two classes we made our way to art class. I love art class it's probably the only lesson I fully enjoy attending, During class Niall walked past our desk before dropping a note, I quickly hid it under the table, He wants to meet me after lunch while everyones in class, I have my catch up time then and Niall just bunks anyway, So here I am sitting in a deserted classroom waiting for Niall. I looked up as Niall walked into the classroom.
"Thanks for coming" He said.
"No problem, How did you know I had this free lesson?" I asked.
"I heard Danny and Anthony talking about it" He replied. "Zayn I don't want to push you but have you thought anymore about what we spoke about?" Niall questioned.
"I have yeah, I can't cut you out the baby's life but I want you to prove yourself to me, I need to know your serious about being there, I don't care about you hurting me but I won't let you hurt this baby" I said.
"I'll do whatever you want me to" Niall stated.
"Come over mine tonight at around five, The baby's cot needs putting together, I've got my scan so I should be home by then" I replied.
"A scan? For the baby? Can I come?" Niall exclaimed.
"I don't think that's a good id-"
"Please Zayn!" Niall pleaded, I sighed before nodding my head.
As school was nearing to an end I grabbed my bag before leaving for my scan, Niall said he would meet me around the corner. I walked out of school before walking down the road sure enough there was Niall waiting for me, He took hold of my bag before signaling for me to climb into his car. The car journey was awkward and so was waiting to be called in, The second we were called in I walked straight into the doctors room before sitting down, Niall walked in after me.
"Hello Zayn, How are you feeling?" The doctor asked.
"I'm good" I replied.
"Any abdominal pains or cramps?" She questioned, I shook my head. "Well that's good, I see you brought someone new along this week" She said.
"Hi, I'm Niall the baby's other father" Niall stated proudly.
"Hello Niall, You must be so excited" Niall nodded his head. "Ok Zayn if you could lay down for me and roll your shirt up as always" The doctor said, I did as she told me to, I didn't even flinch when she squirted the gel onto my stomach, She was right when she said you get used to it.
"Oh my god!" Niall exclaimed as our baby appeared up on the monitor, I couldn't help but smile, What happened next was a shock to my system, Niall took hold of my hand and gave it a gentle squeeze.
"It's our baby Zayn, It's our baby"
