Yato's P.O.V.

She was gone and I was left alone with Hiyori. I thrust my hands into my jacket pockets. They were coated with sweat. I finally decided to face Hiyori.

"Did I interrupt something?" She asked.

Yes, I wanted to say but nothing came out of my lips. "Shouldn't you be aware of where your body is?" I said changing the subject. I noticed that her pink tail was floating behind her.

"Well yeah, but..."

"I have to go find my regalia."

Hiyori was obliviously concerned, but I didn't show an expression. If I did, it would have been worse than Hiyori's. She seemed to support my proposal and nodded. There was no time for small talk.

Your P.O.V.

I just kept running until I reached the shrine Yato and I shared. I sat on the stairs of the shrine peacefully watching the city commotion. All was peace and quiet when Nora appeared in front of me.

"Your eyes are like a gem that's been forgotten," she said, "and no one wants to wear them anymore."

I darted my eyes over to her and scowled. She made my veins boil in frustration.

"You love Yato huh?" She smirked

She's reading my thoughts again.

"However, I want you to stay away from him." Her face darkened instantly. My instincts told me that she wanted to murder me on the spot. I was frozen in fear. It's almost if she commanded all my muscles not to move an inch. Although she was a regalia just like me, I didn't know what type of power she possessed that surpassed mine. My lips froze together, but I muffled out something that threatened my life.

"So, what? I'm his regalia!"

She chuckled, "I don't think you want to know what happens. I don't care if you're his regalia; I'm Yato's only regalia!"

And just like that she disappeared.

I tried my hardest to choke down my sobs, but it all came rushing out of me like a waterfall. I didn't want to lose Yato to her. It sounded selfish, but there must have been a reason why he didn't pay attention to Nora anymore. Even if I don't tell him how I feel, I can at least save him.

I finally ran out of tears and lay exhausted on the shrine. I've never felt this much emotion before as far as I can remember. I've always been one to not show any of it, but it's like Yato changed me... I wanted to fall asleep right then and there, but I heard distant foot steps approaching. Was it a human visiting?

No, their presence seems way too powerful.

I sat up anyways and I saw Yato. His raven hair was stuck to his face is odd directions and  his hands were hidden in his jacket pockets.

He narrowed his gaze as if he was about to scold me, but his face neutralized.

"(Y/n), why were you crying?" He asked scornfully as if he was judging my ever move.

He heard..?

He sighed and sat next to me when I didn't respond. He looked at me once again as if he was saying what's wrong?
