Ward rolled his eyes at our dramatic poses that we were currently "frozen" in. An awkward cough went around the room. Thanks Coulson. Ward sighed, "I expected better from you Coulson." He unplugged the iPod from the speakers and started scrolling though the some what limited options. "I mean, you're an adult. A slightly mature one at that too. Something more cool." He chose a song. I smirked as I recognized the new song. "But I've been sending up prayers and something's changed." Ward had the perfect singing voice for the song. Coulson nodded with the new beat as Jemma and I joined in with Ward, "I think I finally found my hallelujah. I've been waiting for this moment all my life. Now all my dreams are coming true. I've been waiting for this moment, NOW IT'S GOOD TO BE ALIVE RIGHT ABOUT NOW," and jumping/dancing around the room began again. Coulson ran out of the room for a moment only to return with a confused Fitz. Jemma pulled Fitz into our dance line and was grinning like it was Christmas.
Surprisingly, I found Ward with a grin on his face I hadn't seen in awhile. This side of him doesn't come out often, so when it does I tend make the most of it. I turned around to face him while we were both singing, "and it's good to be alive right about now." I smirked before reaching up for a small kiss. Ward looked delightfully surprised and smiled back. "You know what rookie?" I laughed and placed a hand on my hip. "It really is a good time to be alive." He wrapped an arm around my shoulders as we wrapped up the song with FitzSimmons and Coulson. "We really should do this more often." We all nodded in agreement. Coulson coughed, "but next time. I get to choose."Sorry this is a little late! Hope you enjoyed!!! Hope to get a Christmas special out for the season, but it may be delayed because finals😒.
