Wait? What?

Ward's P.O.V

There was no one in the room other than me, well for now. "Where are you?" I backed myself against a wall and reached for my gun, only to find it wasn't there. "Like a gun would even hurt me in a mindscape. You can try if you'd like." A snap of some invisible fingers and the gun was back in it's proper place, my hands. "What am I supposed to shoot at? You aren't here." He appeared on the other side of the room. "Hit me with your best shot. Not that it'll do anything." And I pulled the trigger. He was right. I slip the useless gun back into its holster, "why here?" He started to walk around the room, "It's the start. Well, at least the start where you met me." "Gabe. Listen to me. I don't know why you're doing this. Don't. " Gabe flinched. "It's not "Gabe" anymore. I go by Malem now." He regained his cocky attitude, "anyway, I'm bored. And I needed a new Instagram picture to post!" Gabe casually walked over to me, "ready?" He took out his phone, "smile! Selfie!" He snapped the photo. "Hashtag Throwback! Me and my, buddy Grant Ward! Back in action, together!" I frowned, "together?" He looked surprised as he looked up from his phone, "oh! I forgot to tell you the proposition! My bad!"

"How would you like to help me?"

Skye's POV

As soon as I see this guy again, I'm going straight for a punch to his stupid nose. "We meet again Skye." I grit my teeth, "pleasure." A table with some finger sandwiches appeared. "Come, sit. Let's talk." I hesitated as he pulled out the chair for me. He tapped his foot, "Skye, please, I don't have all day. I'm a very busy man." I sat down. "Good, good! Anyway, I have to apologize for this inconvenience, but it's rather necessary." I almost picked up a sandwich. "I don't really regret to inform you that Grant Ward has joined me in my efforts."

I threw the plate of sandwiches at his face.

Ward's POV

"I'm not taking any deal you're giving me. I'm not that stupid." He sighed, "I always remembered in the Golden Days how stubborn you were. " He rolled his eyes, "and how stupid you actually were." He stood deep in thought. There was much space filled with empty silence, "there was something important I had to tell you... Oh! Right! I happily inform you that, unlike you, another person has joined in my little plan!" I crossed my arms, "who?" He grinned. "S. K. Y. E."

I unloaded all the bullets in my imaginary gun.
