"Daddy wake up!" Caroline said shaking him
"Daddy bad news really bad news." Bella said
"Huh?" Jack said getting out of bed he gently rubbed his stomach
"Jack, Joe and Ted just called they said something happened you have to know before they release it." Bobby replied
JJ smiled widely and spoke or sang, "Lyndon is dead oh happy day Lyndon is dead. Hi ho the Dario Lyndon is dead Uncle Joe will now be vice president high the Dario Lyn-" JJ stoped as he saw the look he got from his father he smiled at his dad he took Caroline and Bella up the steps
"Now that was creative." Bobby said smiling
Joe walked in, "Lyndon died last night he took a turn for the worst. Jack he is dead we are all off the hook."
"Joe this is great news!" Ethel said
"Yeah the best part is Lady Bird told him she was going to divorce him apparently the nurse that was treating him knew him he slept with her cousin. And Lady Bird heard her tell him she told him they were done . She told Lyndon she couldn't deal with his lies anymore." Joe replied
"Do I care Joe?" Bobby asked
"His agents have also been fired."
"Okay what is in this for me? What about the press I don't want it to get out that that my agent Andrew shot Lyndon." Jack replied
"Jack it won't who will tell?" Joe said
Jack looked at Bobby the brothers nodded
"Jack in the room no one will tell what happened your off the hook. We can say Lyndon shot you and Bobby. Lyndon's agents won't go against you or your agents. I talked to his agent Rufus he said he thought he shot Lyndon by accident he said he was aiming for me." Joe explained
"What?" Jack replied
"Yeah and call mom she said you aren't returning her calls"
"Mom didn't tell you the truth and tell Rufus that he did shoot Lyndon get Andrew off the hook."
"What did mom do?" Joe asked
"She told me my interview was a joke with the dogs John and Rosie there she said Rosie ruined it. She said that I should have thought about what I said and not have exposed John or Josh that way. She went on telling me that I shamed myself with Rosie there and that the family has been shamed."
"I thought it was good. Jack I'm not ashamed of Rosie I know none of us are. She called me as well and told me to make sure Rosie never ever had another interview again."
"Joe I have an idea to fix mom's issues. After we figure out who my VP is and I think I'm looking at him huh Bobby?"
"No way Jack"
"Yeah it's perfect Jack president, me attorney general and you president with Teddy in the senate. It works. I won't announce it until the next election."
"Let me think about it." Joe replied
"Okay if not find me a Vice President." Jack replied
"I will. They will announce Lyndon's death in about an hour or so. Pierre has given the hospital a statement. We won't say what happened in the Oval office just that there was a shooter who opened fire on the President, Attorney General and Vice President. He has been caught and charged and later hung himself in prison before trial. Jack and Bobby ask for the press to have respect and give them time to heal and grief the death of Lyndon." Joe replied
"Why not just say it was Lyndon?" Bobby questioned
" Pierre and Kenney felt it was best to say that they didn't want to bother you knowing you and Bobby were recovering and we had to put that in. I know we want to rejoice but we had to make it look good. And what was said in the ICU is going to stay in the ICU and we won't be sued anymore so that is a bonus."
"Joe you were there do you remember what happened I don't its all a burr." Bobby replied
"Not really it happened so fast." Joe replied
Bobby and Jack nodded
"Daddy!"
"Hey buddy" Jack said as John hugged his leg as Kerry Hugged Bobby's leg
"Daddy Pick me up." Kerry said
"I can't right now. Remember I told you I got shot."
"Oh right Lyndon did it Bobby and JJ said he is dead." John said innocently
Jack nodded he headed up the steps to get his son Josh ready for the day.
Jack helped his youngest dress he was able to do something on his own
He was so close to firing the nanny he had for the kids she insisted she would raise the kids until Jack could do it he gave her time off. He was quite capable of looking after his kids.
"There you go Joshy all done you're ready for your day." Jack told his young son
"Daddy Look I dressed myself." John said running into the room Jack was in
Jack turned to John to see he had on a red t-shirt with an anchor on it and a pair of black Adidas track pants.
" Great job Johnny. " Jack said ruffling his hair he looked down at John's feet, "Johnny you need some socks."
"Okay Daddy can you tell me another story?"
"Sure. I think Aunt Ethel has breakfast ready."
"Okay Daddy I love you. And I'm happy you don't have to deal with Lyndon." John said running off
Jack carefully picked up his son he winced as he held him
"Jack you shouldn't be picking up Joshy" Kick said walking in
"I can pick him up"
Bobby walked in Kick picked up Josh she carried him out of the room.
Bobby put his hand on Jack's shoulder he replied," I know how you feel."
Jack nodded
Bobby looked at Jack in unison they replied, "At least Lyndon s dead."
the brothers laughed and headed down the stirs to be greeted with their kids. Jack looked up to see Jackie
"Hi."
"Hi I heard you were shot. How are you feeling?" Jackie asked
"Much better. I'm staying with Bobby for a bit. Joe is staying a the White House and he is temporary president. until I'm able to be and Kick is temporary the Attorney General"
"Wow has any one accused you of nepotism?"Jackie asked
Jack looked at Bobby they started to laugh.
Together they replied, "No"
Pat laughed she looked at Jackie she replied,"Jackie if your going to be in this family get use to my two brothers here they may or may not make sense at times. They are the best brothers." she replied
Jack smiled he kissed Pat on the Cheek he replied, "I have the best sisters as well."
"Jack mom said i will ruin you."
"Rosie don't listen to mom. Nothing you can say or do will ruin me. I have a plan for the ultimate interview and I'm going to need your help Jackie." Jack said smiling
Bobby nodded he whispered ask her out
Jack nodded , "Jackie would you like to take a walk with me?"
Jackie nodded
Jack took her hand they walked out towards the pool area.
Jack smiled at Jackie he felt like she was the one he just had to make her his.
Jackie smiled at Jack she loved him she loved Jack
As Jack and Jackie walked along the fence of Bobby's house Jack took her hand
Jackie smiled she felt comfortable with jack maybe he was her true love she smiled to her self she was hoping for a better tomorrow
