It was hitting close to midnight but the atmosphere was still high. Ryder went inside to check up on his wife. He found her in the lounge room with the girls talking but he could see she was tired and trying her best to keep awake. He walked in surprising the women who were in deep conversation about what Ryder could make was sex. He arched his brow and the women looked embarrassed. His wife just watched him walking towards her. A few of the girls watched him, sighing with a dreamy expression. He stopped in front of his wife waiting til she tilted her head to look up at him.

"Let's go home."

Alofa looked past him to where Oriana and Ria sat.

Ria- "Ahem we were thinking...."

"Yes?"

Ria- "Well....seeing as yous are getting an annulment. We think it's best if Alofa stayed with me."

"No"

Oriana- "But if you...."

"I said NO."

Ria- "Why?"

"Why what?"

Ria- "Why do you want her to go with you?"

"Because she's my wife."

Ria- "Yes, but...."

Ryder didn't let her finish. He took hold of Alofa's hand and helped her stand, grabbing her handbag. He kept his arm around her waist and whispered to her to lean into him and rest. He caught Oriana and Ria wink at Alofa before changing their feature to blank stares. He mentally shook his head and bid them all goodnight. Oriana walked with them to the car.

Oriana- "I'll be over to drop some things off for you tomorrow Alofa."

Alofa- "Thank you. Please tell Nathaniel I said thank you for having us over."

"Let them know we've left."

Oriana- "Will do. Ryder?"

"Yo"

Oriana- "......"

He turned to her when she didn't speak. He saw the message in her eyes and nodded acknowledging what she wanted him to know.

He got in the car and reversed out, giving his wife a quick glance before he concentrated on the road.

An hour later he pulled into a building. Punching in his security code opening up the gates. He drove the rest of the way in, parking near the front door. Alofa was too tired to take much notice of her surroundings but paused in the foyer when they walked into the house. Her eyes widened as she looked around, turning in slow circles. Ryder could hear the awe in her voice and looked at his home through her eyes smiling.

Alofa- "You own this house?"

"Yes."

Alofa- "Wow...how much was it to buy? A million?"

"Not quite. It was run down. I renovated."

Alofa- "The whole house? You designed it?"

Ryder nodded.

Alofa- "Must of cost a lot to hire workers to make it this beautiful."

"I built this house with my own hands woman."

She seemed gobsmacked.

Alofa- "How many rooms?"

"One."

Alofa- "Whaaaa?"

"There's 6 but for you there's one."

Alofa- "Which is?"
