"Honey you'll be late for the first day of school! Grab your bag and get out the door!"

I grab my bag and head to the door. I kiss my mom on the cheek.

"Bye mom," I say as I head out the door. I begin to walk really quick then I realize,

"Why am I walking when I can run?" I dash to the bus stop, that is a block away from my house, and wait for the bus. Pulling out my phone in my pocket I check the time,

"Eight-o-three. Great, the bus comes at eight-o-five."

It's a hot summer day and the sun is shinning on my face. I squint my eyes and look down at my white T-shirt. Good, my mom got the grass stain out from yesterday. I pull the collar of the dark blue jacket upward and smile.

I pull up my baggy dark gray pants a little. Although my mom may be great at cooking and cleaning and all those things, she's never ask me my size, or even talks much at all. I know why that is though.

I look down the street to the right and see my bus coming closer by the second. I adjust the straps on my bag.

Soon, the bus comes to a screeching halt. The doors open and I make my way to the doors. Once I arrive I step on the third and final step. I say,

"Hi,"

And smile at the bus driver. The man nods and smiles. Since I don't know anybody and I've only just moved to this new school this summer I sit in the front seat. No one else is on.

I must be the first one to get on. I don't expect anyone to sit by me anyway. I sit on the edge of the seat near the isle. I pull out my phone and start playing my game.

After awhile, we stop at a screeching halt at the very last stop I presume. I hear footsteps climb up the steps but I don't look up from my phone. I feel someone pass me by and walk down the aisle. Then I feel it walk back to the front.

"Come on, just sit somewhere." an older boy demands loudly. At that, I look up and turn off my phone. It's a girl, this girl has short, pink hair. Her eyes are green like mine. Her dress is read with a strip of white along the bottom of the dress and a light brown backpack. I look up at her and smile,

"You can sit by me."

She smiles brightly. I scooched over to the window and leaned back against it with the lower half of my body still facing the front. She turns her head to look at me and smiles once again,

"I'm Amy,"

I smirk and say,

"I'm Sonic," she blushes a little and looks down.

Finally, the bus ride is over and I get off after Amy. I walk with her into the school,

"What do you have first?" she ask me, and I reply,

"I've got Science, you?" I ask as we arrive at her locker.

"Me too, we can go together."

I put a thumb up and say,

"Alright." We continue to carry our bags as we walk to the science class,

"Hey, how do you even know where this class is?" I look to the left and see a few girls starring. I smile at them and smirk.Their reaction was priceless. They look like they just got shot by an arrow. In some sense I guess they did. I put my hands in my pocket and wait for Amy to respond,

"I memorized the whole map of the school before we came. Science is room 234 upstairs,"

I'm impressed. I could probably never memorize that map. It was super confusing to me. I take a step up the stairs and count each one as I go.
