Chapter 3: Him.

"What do you want from me?" I turned around carefully, my eyes widening when I saw who it was.

He can't be real. He's a legend! He's a fictional character! He's used to be a monster wolves scared the puppies with, so they won't go into the woods!

I kept my head low, fearing he'd hurt me.

He chuckled darkly, walking towards me.

Four other wolves came out from behind him. They all had scars covering their faces and shoulders.

"What would a puppy like you be doing here alone?" He leaned close to my face.

"I-I was returning to my pack." I stuttered out.

"Aw, how cute." He shook his head, "Why did you leave your pack, puppy?"

"I-I got l-lost. We were all running around an--" Out of nowhere, Max was in front of me.

Head down, ears back and teath showing, he growled at Him.

"Protecting your lady, I see?" Him smirked, not effected one bit with Max's sudden appearance.

"She's my little sister." Max growled, "I shall protect her until the day I die."

"Maybe, that day.." Him trailed off as he turned human, "Would be today?"

I gasped, it's Zayn.

How could this be real!? Him is Zayn. I dated Him. Now, he's back to finish me..

"Zayn.." Max had wide eyes, too.

"It's such a surprise, huh?" Zayn came towards the two us, "Your own boyfriend is Him."

He looked at me, flashing his yellow eyes at me.

"I-I--" Before thinking, I found my legs carrying me further into the woods.

"GET HER!" Zayn shouted.

I turned into my dragon quickly and flew off the ground.

I shot through the tall trees and spotted the boys sitting by the river.

I checked to see if Zayn was still following me, so I could land safely.

He's not. Phew.

I landed a few feet away from them so I don't freak them out and ran towards them.

"Guys! Help!" I ran to them and panted.

"What happened?" Ashton asked.

I quickly turned into human and sat down, "Him. He found me on my way here."

"What!?" They all screamed in sync.

"We've got to get you out of here." Michael stood up, "Right now."

"What about us?" Calum asked.

"Come with us." Michael said.

"We have to find Jess." Luke said.

"No! I'm not going back there."

"Why not?" Michael looked at me.

"I don't wanna talk about it now." I crossed my arms.

"Fine. But we need to move. Now." Michael commanded.

"Nice." I smirked.

"Let's go." He nodded his head for us all to follow him.
