One week until homecoming dance and I was, well, dateless. The girls said Dan would probably ask me to be his date, but he was flirting with this other chick.

My first period was just over and I had 5 minutes to get my belongings to my next class. I sprinted and opened my locker, only to grab a white envelope falling.

The first bell of three rang and I shoved tbe envelope in my bag and ran to my second class.

Getting there, I sat next to Michael and opened the envelope.

"Would you be my date? -Luke"

Oh Shit.

It's not that I don't like Luke, it's just that I was planning on going with Dan.

Michael was playing a game on his phone and still hadn't noticed I came in, so I tapped his shoulder and we made small talk before tbe class started.

When it was finally lunch time, I stormed out of the class and into the cafeteria and looked for Quin and Arabella, I needed some advice.

"Hey guys" I said, my expression revealing I was worried. "Hey, what happened?" Bella asked

"Well, you know Luke, right? Blue eyes, tall, blonde hair in a quiff?-" They nod "Well, he left this envelope in my locker today in between the first two classes-" I passed the envelope to them. "and I don't know what to do! I was waiting for you-know-who to ask me out but I don't think he will,but what if I say yes to Luke and then you-know-who asks me out?" I said, freaking out.

"Chill, Brooks. We will ask Dan who will he be taking to the dance and if he says another girl but you, we will give him a piece of our minds." She winked.

I walked through the hallways to find Dan. When I found him, I excused him out of a conversation he was having with a girl -that, let's be real, is kind of a slut- and started to have a real talk.

"What the hell are you doing, Dan? Please tell me that bitch is not who you're taking to the dance. " I said, needing a truthful answer.

"Ugh, I don't know bells, she's pretty fun" He said, passing his hand through his hair.

"I don't believe you!-" I said, throwing my hands in the air. "There's a beautiful girl sitting alone in the cafeteria at this right moment, thinking if she should wait for you to ask her out or just accept an invite and go with one of her boy friends, while you are THINKING of asking a bitch out!" I yelled, becoming agressive.

I lowered my voice to a normal tone and said "You better decide who do you want to go with, the bitch or Brooke, and fast because that door is closing, and you won't be the one making her have fun" I stormed out.
