Kara’s P.O.V:
I could not help but shiver as I found none other Itachi Uchiha standing in front of me at a few yards distance.
I should have known that the Leader would choose him to fight me.
After all Itachi’s method of killing was much more precise and… fast.
I wonder how long I would be able to withstand the awesome power of his Sharingan when it was being weilded by a true heir of the bloodline. So I knew that it would be very different from Father’s.
Queer was the fact that I found myself much less ogling at him when I found his original onyx orbs boring into my own instead of his usual Sharingan. He looked like…. Like…
The same old Itachi he was back at the village but that was before…
I gulped when the much more enchanting onyx was replaced by the fierce red Sharingan showing that he was ready for battle.
The wind blowing through the clear field around the Akatsuki hideout (which I had found out was a very charming mansion) and the surrounding forest helped me relax as I shifted my stance just enough so that it seemed I was ready to fight…
My eyes which were trained on his quickly dropped to his feet when a very useful advice that Guy-sensei once gave:
“While fighting a Sharingan bearer, you cannot afford to look in his eyes so you have to concentrate on the movement of his feet- you can predict what he is going to do from his feet.”
Of course, at that time he found it almost ridiculous- the way he was intent on teaching me. But now as I gazed at his feet, I knew he was not intending to attack as his muscles were at total rest, so he wanted me to make the first move.
Very well.
With a burst of Chakra, directed towards the soles of my feet, I sprinted towards him with blinding speed, always looking carefully at his feet, trying to anticipate whether he was going to attack or not.
The moment I was right in front of him, I pulled out my sword from its sheath and took a swung at his chest and he dodged it with the grace of the lion.
But a sharp intake of breath told me I had hit my target- and sure enough when I risked a glance at his shoulder while back flipping so that I now stood behind him, I saw a tear as to where the sword made contact with his skin.
I directed a smirk towards him though he could not see (courtesy to my mask) when I saw his curious eyes running along the elongated length of my blade. I had managed to increase the length as well the range of the weapon as I used a manipulated shape of my chidori to concentrate and grow right where the original metal of the blade ended.
My muscled tensed as I saw him make a shadow clone so fast that I was unable to realize just exactly when he had made the hand seals but sure enough I saw his shadow clone coming at me. I held my sword tightly in my right hand and gazed at his hands, trying to predict what he would do. His shadow clone simply took a while swing at me which I managed to dodge just by a hair’s breadth- literally, his speed was so great. Still he managed to slice a few of my hairs as I ducked downwards to dodge.
Oh, he was going to pay for that.
I managed to kick his clone square in his jaw as it poofed away. A sudden heat emitting from the direction to which I was facing my back caught my attention which made me turn sharply.
My eyes widened when I saw six burning shuriken being directed towards the vital points of my body. I deflected most of them with my sword yet one multiplied into three and I had a burning shoulder when his attack ended.
I rubbed my sore shoulder while glaring at his hands- not having the chance to spit annoyance to his face through my eyes while I used the other to get my sword back into it’s sheath.
His eyes at an instant’s notice, his hands started moving at blinding speed again, and I was just able to make out the ‘tiger’ sign hand seal and I made my own hand seals in an attempt to block his fire style attack.
“Katon: Gokakyu no jutsu!”
“Suiton: Suiryūdan no Jutsu!”
I aimed my water dragon to extinguish the giant fireball that Itachi had constructed with disturbing ease. Water met fire and the contact produced a Lot of steam which covered the place where the two ninjutus had collided, obscuring Itachi’s view and giving me a chance to make my move.
His ninjutsu was stronger than mine; his genjutsu was possibly the strongest there ever was… so I only had one option left.
I quickly made the hand seals for an earth style technique and quickly buried myself in the earth while desperately hoping that Itachi would not be unable to figure out my location. I tried to ignore the thumping in my chest as the blood roared in my ears and tried to locate his position while keeping me own to a bare minimum so that he took as much time as I needed to get to the place above which he was standing.
When I was sure that I was right below the strongest chakra point on the field, I broke out of the earth and as a startled Uchiha turned around; my fist collided quite satisfactorily with his chest. I sent a burst of my chakra with the punch that made contact with his chest and my heartbeat literally stopped for a second at what I saw—or rather sensed.
*what the—what the hell is that?*
Annoyance flashed through his face as he pushed my hand away from his chest and started throwing kicks and punches so fast that I was only able to block and not counter attack.
But there was a reason why my Father always lost to me in a tai-justu match.
I managed to acquire a speed to rival his own and then he was the one blocking my punches- sure his Sharingan could see my punches and kicks coming in yet he was only able to block—he was not able to dodge them.
Thank you Father.
After my fist made contact with his chin and he had to stumble back to avoid losing his footing, I could tell that he had enough. The anger with which his hands trembled ever so slightly were hard to miss- as I was only able to look at them.
I threw yet another punch at his face but this time he caught it unlike before and what he said after that made the floor disappear from beneath my feet—literally.
“Now you will see the actual power of Uchiha clan- Mangekyou Sharingan!”
