chapter 5

Gray pov.

After the screaming roar died down I started to think that it was maybe a bad idea to come and when we meet the mysterious person I'll just ask him/her how they survived.

I'm glad that we we're heading to the control room where no dinosaur could get in but I might not want to get my hopes up to quickly. Because I still remember that the T-Rex is still alive and she might not like us being on her island.

It was getting dark and we were nowhere near the control room and I was getting tired and my feet were hurting. We have been walking for hours and sometimes we ran just to avoid some of the dinosaurs.

"We'll rest here and continue in the morning." Owen puts his backpack down on the ground and sits on a rock.

I collapsed on to my butt and breathed hard for walking a far distance the whole day. With my backpack still on my back and the other two just sat down under the tree taking their backpacks off.

Later Owen and Zach got some wood for the fire and started it.

Alexis pov.

I can't believe how far they were walking and how they managed to get passed some of the dinosaurs. I'm not complaining or anything but they certainly move fast and looks like they know where they are going.

It was getting late and I have to get back to my parents but I can't just leave the group of people alone with lots of dangerous dinos walking about.

Just when I was about to leave them, they started a fire. Are they crazy?! I ran to them not caring if they see me but I have to put out the fire. As I got to them I stomped on the fire putting it out.

"What the hell did you do that for? " the older guy yells and looks up at me then looks surprised.

"Saving your sorry asses from being Dino food." I just yelled back.

"Hey you're the person who was left behind? " the young lady got up from cuddling the boys to sleep.

Well the younger one,the older one was just staring at me from top to bottom, I turned to him and eyed him to back off and turned my attention to the two adults and then a roar sounded in the night.

I just got scared and started backing up back into the bushes breathing fast, "just what ever you do, don't light a fire and stick to the most shallow parts of the rivers. Okay? I have to go." And with that I ran towards the caves.

As I got there no one was in the cave and it was quiet a bit unusual for dinosaurs to keep quiet, they would at least make a growling noise.

I ran out of the cave and no one was out here either. Okay this is weird mum and dad are always at the cave when it gets dark.

"Mom!! Dad!!" I screamed out but nothing not even a roar.

Since I was on a mountain slope with a little valley in front of the cave it was easier to see where everything is and what is happening. And then a light went on by the northern beach side of the island. No way that, that's not normal... someone is here and I immediately got a bad feeling about it.
