Discriminated

Chapter 8 Part 1

By the time he reached there, he was told to wait at the waiting room while the doctors examined him. He crossed his fingers and begged simultaneously that Tommy is safe. Half an hour later, the doctor walked out of the ward room. He approached Adam, who was cuddling onto his seat, sleeping comfortably.

      The doctor sat beside Adam and shook him softly, "Sir?"

  Still asleep, Adam moved closer to the doctor and rest his head on his thigh. "Tommy...I love you, sweetheart.."

   The doctor blushed and started to get uncomfortable and insecure. He shook Adam's body, only this time, harder. The tug really made Adam open his eyes and moan..When he found out that the person he was talking to wasn't Tommy but the doctor, he removed his head off the doctor's thigh.

    Adam gasped, "Oh my Goodness..I'm really sorry..".

 The doctor scoffs, "That's alright. You seem really tired at this hour,huh?"

    "Uh..yeah. I guess..", Adam scratched his head sheepishly.

 The doctor smiled. "I have something to tell you about your friend Tommy,"

  Adam's smile fades away as he stares at the doctor, "How is he?"

    The doctor looked down in dismay, " It seems to me that there is a very deep cut at the side of his neck, which is causing blood to get clogged at his throat. But thankfully, we managed to let his blood flow again."

    Adam whispered, "Oh, thank God."

 The doctor stood up."He is still in a very weak condition. We'll let him stay here for about a week or so.."

  "Can I see him?"Adam asked as he got up to his feet.

The doctor grinned, "You may. He's in that room over there," He said as he pointed at a door located not far from where they are standing.

Adam returned the smile back to the doctor and strutted to the ward room. He opened the door halfway and saw Tommy lying on the bed, with a huge bruise on his left side of his neck. That really broke Adam's heart. He made his way beside Tommy and took a seat on a chair and held his hand tightly.

   "I can't believe this is happening to me.."

 From inside Tommy's neck, the bruise is getting worse. It spreads around Tommy's neck. From where Adam is sitting, he could see that the bruise had already turned dark purple. Adam was frightened about it. He ran out of the wardroom to look for a doctor.   

  As soon as he found one, he told the doctor about the situation and scurried back into the room. The doctor examined Tommy's neck. Adam was standing 3 feet away from the bed, looking at Tommy anxiously.

  Then the doctor turned to Adam. Adam just stared blankly at the doctor without saying any word.

     The doctor sighed,"Sir, this can't be good news."

        "What's going on, doctor?"

   "Tommy is in a very serious condition right now..This disease have never been discovered by any doctors all over the world before. There may be hope for your friend here if the doctors can find a way to solve this. but if not, you will not be able to see Tommy anymore."

    Adam grew outraged, "What is the disease that Tommy is suffering now? Tell me!" he yelled as he stormed towards the doctor and gripped onto his attire.

    The doctor gasped and held his hands high in mid-air. "He's been suffering the lack of human blood..Instead, the blood of a wolf is replacing it. The wolf blood is flowing very, very slowly but if Tommy is too stressed or frustrated, the faster the wolf blood will reach his heart..Which means to say if the wolf blood has conquered his whole body....he will be totally tranformed into ....a wolf."

  Adam closed his eyes tightly and released the doctor's attire. He walked slowly towards Tommy's bed and stared at his pretty face for a long time..Adam rests both of his arms on the hospital bed and buried his face in it and started sobbing. 

  The doctor felt sorry for him and looked down. Adam looked up at the doctor again, " But isn't there at least another way to cure this disease?"

    "Only God knows the answer to that. I promise the doctors and I will try our best to find a way."

   Adam strutted towards the door, "Just make sure that he's okay. I've got some important business to settle," Then he walked out and slammed the door.

   The doctor nodded his head, "I will,sir. You have my words." Then turned to face Tommy. "You'll be fine, I assure you,"
