Sarah's POV
"You look like you've seen a ghost." I laughed, looking at Lily's facial expression. Eyes fixed on me, particularly in my chest.
"Pervert." I said in jest, earning a glare and a brow raise from her.
"Its not what you think." She said, rolling her eyes and shaking her head.
"That locket, where did you get that?" She asked, looking at me seriously. Her brows furrowed and her eyes narrowed as she walked closer to me and examined the locket carefully.
"Similar." She whispered softly before stepping back, giving the 'I'm waiting look' at me.
"What?" I asked, putting my things down on the couch at the corner of the room.
"The locket, where did you get it?" Her voice was serious and stern. Jeez. I haven't even started yet and seems like I pissed her off by not answering her questions right away.
I spun around to face her and I could see that she wasn't pleased.
She was tapping her foot against the floor, her arms crossed above her chest and eyes were directly looking at me.
I gulped, she makes me nervous. Her stare makes me nervous.
"Are you going to tell me? Or you're just wasting my time looking at you and waiting for your response?"
"No Ma'am, uhhh. I mean..." I stammered as her gaze is making me feel so uneasy.
She raised her brow, still looking at me as if she's a lion and I'm her prey.
"You mean?"
"I mean, yes I'm going to tell you," I chuckled, still looking at me. The heaviness of her gaze became lighter as she said, "Then tell me."
"This locket is from my grandmother, named Cordelia, hence this marking "C.G" at the back. Stands for Cordelia Goode actually."
She nodded, signalling me to continue. I looked at her questioningly and before I could even ask what is it that she wanted to know. She cuts me off by saying,
"I want to know about that locket."
Weird. I never knew that she's interested with these kinds of jewelries. The locket is old fashioned, it doesn't hold the beauty of the expensive jewelry that she wears, which made me question my she's so interested about it.
"Uhmm... This locket is passed on for generations, they've told me that this locket is special. They said that its from our ancestor from the 18th century who survived something that's really traumatic. That's all that I know."
"Uhm kay'," she hummed in response, seemingly satisfied as she walked back to her desk and sat on the chair, crossing her legs over the other.
I swear, she wasn't like this yesterday. I'm nine hundred seventy five percent that I've said something wrong yesterday, but why the heck hire me? Well, I'm glad she did. This makes everything easier.
"What are you waiting for? Bring me my coffee." She smiled sarcastically, raising a brow and looking straight at me.
"Huh? You didn't even say anything?!" I fired back, earning the most sexy glare that I've ever seen in my life as she put her glasses on.
"I just said it, didn't I? Bring me a cup of coffee with 2 tablespoon of creamer and 2 tablespoon of sugar."
"You just said, 'bring me a cup of coffee,' Ma'am." I said in jest, holding my laughter, trying to see what her reaction will be.
