Katalina's POV

Ugh I'm getting so bored here waiting for my plane .
I'm going back to mystic falls to visit some family . They don't know I'm coming. Yet .

I wanted it to be a surprise. Mainly cuz I have no idea if I'm welcome.

My parents should already be there by now . Of course , my parents want me there , it's just my uncles , they've never met me .

Don't get me wrong I'm sure they are nice people, but what if they don't like me ?

And then there's my aunt Bekah, who is actually marrying my uncle stefan .

She's already there . And I have yet to meet Uncle Damon's girlfriend Elena.

I've met their friend Bonnie though, turns out she's actually a good friend of father's.

She helps me with my magic sometimes. She's so good at it . I may be an immortal hybrid but I can only wish I am as good as her one day .

As I'm deep in thought I don't notice at first, that the hottest guy I've ever seen is stood in front of me .

" Is this seat taken ?" He asked, pointing to the chair next to me.

" Nope. Go ahead " I reply , gesturing to the seat .

" Well lucky me , I get to sit next to the prettiest girl in here "

" Hahaha. I'm really not that pretty. I'm Katalina "

" I'm Kai "

" So do you call all the girls pretty? "

" Oh no , of course not . It's not very often after all that I have the pleasure of meeting such a beautiful witch "

" You know I'm a witch !
How can you tell ? "

" I'm a siphoner. Don't worry though, not here to steal your powers or anything like that ."

" Good . We couldn't have that now could we ? "

" Absolutely not. If that happened then I'd never get to take you on a date!"

" Are you asking me out? "
