But with the light came the dark. Satan, an angel of destruction, created a world of darkness with red skies in the day, and pitch black nights. Unlike Luce, this realm was filled with evil creatures. The creatures of Scuro frequently visit the human world and devour the souls of men, women, and children.

After Raug created Luce Academy, Satan was outraged. His was furious because creatures that belonged in his world were being forced to go to Luce. But, he faced the same problem Raug did. His creatures were being spotted and murdered for scientific purposes.

Luce and Scuro became allies after humans started testing and killing creatures of both realms. It was until Satan found out Raug was taking creatures, from the human world that would belong to Scuro, and purifying their souls before Satan could get to them that their alliance was shattered.

Seeking vengeance, Satan captured the evil half of Raug's heart. Satan cast a spell on the box Raug's heart was in. Once Raug touched the box, the pure half of his heart would slowly become evil. The only thing that could purify him once again was joining his two hearts.

Satan sat on his thrown day after day, waiting for Raug to retrieve his dark heart so that he could kill him. Satan knew that if he stepped foot inside Luce more than once, he would be disintegrated. He did not know why, but he just knew. After impatiently waiting, he sent the Darkness to Luce where the Navi would fight the darkness every waking minute of their immortal lives.

The Darkness was something that was so purely evil, not even Satan knew a thing about it. The only thing anyone knew about the Darkness was that it suddenly appeared sometime in the 1990s. It was a pure black. The creatures and non-humans that had seen it called it things like black mist, evil shadow, and even the Devil. The Darkness had become so powerful, it created its own creatures. These creatures were called Heartless. The Heartless, who were also black, had antennas where they would steal people's souls and allowing them to die off.

No one knew how powerful the Darkness was until Satan trusted it. It utilized this to defeat Satan. The Darkness slaughtered him, causing fear in even Scuro. Most of the creatures fled back to the human world and some even went to Luce to purify themselves. Some creatures stayed for their dedication to Scuro or their love for their home realm and family that could not leave. Of course, Scuro still had good creatures just as Luce had bad creatures.

In Scuro, there was complete darkness. The sky red, to show defeat of the King. For the creatures who were loyal, they were sent to the human world to collect souls for the Darkness. The souls made it more powerful.

The Darkness became so strong, it took Satan's body and possessed it. The Darkness became God. Even worse. The Darkness became Satan. And Scuro became Hell.

The Realm of Scuro, where there is no light.

Where there is no remorse.

Where there is no peace.

Where there is the Darkness.
