As the video stopped, I continued to stare at the static screen. Those couldn't be wings. That was entirely impossible. Then again, everything around me was entirely impossible. So, could that mean it's true?

I thought to myself the idea of me having wings. I could fly up in the air and drop eggs on the people I didn't like. How cool would that be?

The Dwarf cleared his throat, jolting me out of my daze. "Do you see, Miss Rose?"

Then, I thought to how the wings came out. I looked at the Dwarf with a puzzled look. I put my hands on my back quickly. I felt to see if there were any scars or abnormal bumps.

"What's wrong with me...?" I mumbled to myself, remembering how wings are not a normal thing to have. Was it some form of condition? Was I going to die?

The Dwarf laughed loudly. I would have smiled and maybe even laughed with him if I wasn't so confused. "There's nothing wrong with you! You're a Fairy, Miss Rose!"

I stopped feeling my back and froze. "A Fairy? That can't be." Fairies don't exist. Then again, neither do Dwarfs or Minotaurs.

"Don't be in such denial, you've seen the creatures around here." Minotaur said in his deep voice, entering the room.

"But I'm human!" I spoke back, feeling my eyes tear up. "I'm just an average girl living an average life." I felt a tear run down my face. I wasn't sad. Was I just surprised? All this information was overwhelming.

"Your mother and father are both Fairies. They left Luce a long time ago to visit the human world." Minotaur put his hand on my shoulder.

My eyes shot towards him. "That's not possible. My parents were human..." I sniffled and wiped my eyes. I wasn't going to let him see me cry.

The more I repeated that in my head, the less I believed myself. Is that why Mom always read those mythology books to me? I was hardly even 5, I shouldn't even remember that she read them to me.

I curled in a ball on the chair and the Dwarf smiled and held my hand. Along with his voice, he looked like a child although I'm sure he was an adult. "Don't be so down, Miss Rose. It's a gift to be a Fairy. They're very blessed. You'll learn of that at your time at Luce Academy."

I dependently looked at the Dwarf. He seemed the friendliest out of everyone I had met. "Will you be there with me?"

He smiled and shook his head. "I've always lived in Luce. I have no need for the Academy." Then he looked at the computers. "I also have my beautiful job!"

"What do you have to do to be in the academy?" I asked.

Minotaur spoke this time, "You have to have be born in the non-powerful world and not be able to control your abilities. You'll be taught how to control when you turn human and how to use your powers."

I looked at him "Non-powerful world? Do you mean human world? And what powers do I have?" I stood up from the chair.

"Yes. You can virtually do anything as long as you believe in yourself. Many creatures underestimate the power of Fairies."

I closed my eyes, processing the information. It was a little too much to take in all at once. I took a deep breath that led to a loud sigh.

"C'mon, Miss. I'll show you to where you'll be sleeping." Minotaur moved out of the doorway to let me through.

I thanked the Dwarf and left their cottage. All the other Dwarfs said their goodbyes at the same time. It was cute enough to make me smile, even in a situation like this.

As we walked back to the school, I looked at all the creatures we had passed. Some had multiple heads and some had no heads.

"Can you tell me more about Luce Academy?" I asked Minotaur.
