"How are you liking it here so far, Miss?" Minotaur asked as we strolled along the cobblestone pathway. There were little balls of light that lit up the area. It was almost midnight but Minotaur thought this was a good time to show me how beautiful campus could be and discuss my day.

"It's fantastic. Thank you." I smiled.

"I heard something happened between you and Mr. Sedurre?" he asked in a slightly worried tone.

I shook my head. "Nothing to be concerned about. He was just reintroducing himself to me."

Minotaur nodded but the expression still showed on his face. We walked to a fountain. I sat down on the ledge and watched the fish swim around. The water was a beautiful blue, but not a clear blue like in the human world. It felt weird thinking of my home as the "human world."
Back to it, the water was if someone put food coloring in it.

"This place is amazing." I said, twirling my finger in the water.

Minotaur sat next me and looked at me as I played with the water. "I agree. The human world was much similar to Luce at one point."

"What happened?" I asked, looking up at Minotaur. It was hard to see his horns because of how dark it was at this time, but I knew they were there.

"A human girl did what the prince never thought would happen." Minotaur looked away.

"What'd she do?"

"She broke his heart." He said in a serious tone.

A chuckled slipped from my mouth. "She broke his heart so he separated the two worlds? Isn't that a bit childish?"

Minotaur looked up at me. "She literally broke his heart. He was such a kind soul. He had a pure soul. Plus, adultery is to never happen in this Earth. It seemed as if that's what humans liked to do for fun."

I looked down in embarrassment. "Oh, I'm sorry..." I mumbled.

He shook his head and put a hand on my knee. "No worries, Miss. It wasn't your fault." The corner of his lips curled upward slightly.

I nodded. "What's up with him now?"

"Well, he only has half of a heart. He keeps his other half locked up, for it is the evil side of him."

Before I could think of something to say, a ball of fire whirled around the fountain, lighting it up. Minotaur was quick to stand in front of me.

"Show yourself, Demon!" He yelled.

"How do you know I'm a Demon?" A voice confidently spoke from the darkness.

I stood up as the flames ceased to exist. I looked around the darkness for the familiar voice.

"Only demons can create fire out of nothingness." Minotaur said.

Then, the little balls of light floated around a bush. From behind it, Blake came out. Minotaur showed his teeth at the sight of him.

I put my hand on Minotaur's shoulder. "It's fine. I don't think he'd do anything."

"Good thinking." Blake spoke, his icy blue eyes pierced through my soul.

"What do you want, Demon?" Minotaur asked numbly. "You should be asleep in your room!"

"Such a harsh tone, Minotaur. I'd expect more from you." Blake smirked and had his hands behind his back. He was wearing a white button down shirt with a dark blazer and dress pants that hid his feet. It was what he was wearing earlier, along with the other Demons.
