Music thumps loudly around the room. Hermione stands with Severus holding his arms around her waist.

She tries to relax against him, but it's difficult, she's too tense.

"I gotta go do my teacher duties, Severus sighs. "I will be back." He kisses her cheek and makes his way out of the room. Hermione sees Rose following after her father.

Hermione leans against the wall.

She bolts upright when she hears a shrill scream coming from outside. Sounding like a little girl. Hermione streaks toward the door. She pulls to a stop when she sees hooded figures coming towards them.

They zap anyone in their way, including children. Thankfully, none of the spells are green.

Most of the figures are fighting off any advancing aurors. Four break off and start heading toward one person, Draco.

Draco fights them off, but one speed hits him square on the chest.

"Draco!" Harry shouts. He stuns two of the figure, the other two take off running, leaving Draco on the ground. All of the figures start retreating. They disappear as fast as they showed up.

"Rose," Hermione gasps and take off outside. "Rose! Severus!" Hermione screams into the dark. "Rose, Severus," her voice cracks as she starts to break down." Tears flood down her face.

"I found a little girl!" A mans voice shouts. Hermione is up in a flash and follows the voice. And auror runs past her towards the way she's going. And auror is kneeling beside a small body. The child is wearing a sparkly pale green dress. A sob escapes her as she sees her daughter lying on the ground. She kneels beside her. Rose looks as if she's sleeping.

"Rose, no," Hermione sobs.

"Ma'm don't worry, she is still alive." The auror kneeling beside her reassures.

"Thank Merlin," Hermione sobs and grabs her daughters hand.

"We need to take her to the infirmary," the second auror says to her. Hermione nods and lets him lift her daughter.

"I need to find Severus," she murmurs.

"Ma'm we have men searching the grounds right now, not to worry." The aurors says. She nods numbly and follows her daughter inside.

Draco and all the others who were hit with spells are already there. Medi-witches are bustling around, checking each patient. Madam Pomfrey herself comes to check on Rose.

"Dear I can't have you hover," she says gently to Hermione, Hermione nods and goes to Harry, who is by Draco's bed. Draco sits up suddenly.

"Lily!" He looks panicked. "They were at Malfoy manor, they went after my father. Lily could be in trouble!" Draco gasps.

"We have officers on their way now," Harry pats his arm.

"You knew about this," Hermione hisses. "You knew something like this would happen."

"No, we had word that people were causing trouble, we had no idea it would be at this magnitude." Harry tries to tell Hermione.

"I could have lost my daughter, my husband may be gone." Hermione starts sobbing. "Why did this happen?"

Harry wraps his arms around his friend.

"We'll fix it. I promise." He consuls.

Hermione just sobs.

After a bit Hermione is called to her daughters bedside. Hermione wipes her tears and moves over there.

Rose is blinking her eyes open.

"Mommy," Rose's bottom lip trembles. Hermione pulls her in a huge hug. "They attacked us, daddy tried to stop them." Rose cries into her mom's shoulder.

"It's okay, everything will be okay." Hermione rocks Rose.

"Where's daddy?" Rose asks. Hermione doesn't answer, she is scared to know what's become of him.

"Harry," and auror comes in. "No other bodies were found on the grounds, sir." He says to Harry.

"Are you sure?" Harry asks.

"Yes, sir, there is no sign of Severus Snape. And we have reports from the Malfoy manor." The auror adds.

"Is my daughter okay?" Harry immediately straitens, going from head auror to concerned father.

"Lily is okay, just a bit scared, but Lucius Malfoy is missing. Narcissa was stunned but otherwise she is fine, they have been taken to the safe house. As have Mr and Mrs Granger and the Snape boy."

"Thank you, Gordon, I suggest you get your son and head home, there's no need for the students to stay." Harry dismisses the auror named Gordon. He nods and leaves the room.

"Nothing happened to my parents, right?" Hermione asks.

"They were not attacked. We just moved them to the safe house for precaution. Ron and Luna are already on their way with their kids and mine." Harry says, he looks tired and worried.

"Draco you are going with Hermione and Rose to the house, I don't want any arguing," Harry goes to talk with Pomfrey.

He returns minutes later. "Draco you are free to go, as is Rose. I suggest you guys leave now. We'll send Rose's things home when everything settles down. The wards blocking apparation is down for now. Please go." Harry kisses Draco and he leaves the room.

"Lets go then," Draco climbs out of bed. Hermione turns to Rose.

"Sweetie, I need you to hold onto my arm and don't let go okay?" Rose nods and grips her mom's arm in a tight grasp. Draco grabs Hermione's arm and they disapperate. They stand before a building. Hermione knows it well.

Though to Rose, all she sees are two buildings, one marked 11 the other marked 13. She doesn't know about this place. She never needed to.

Draco scratches something on a piece of paper.

"Read this." Draco murmurs. Rose does and she gasps when 12 Grimmauld Place appears before her eyes. Draco burns the paper and they go inside.

They redid the Fidelius charm, since it was compromised all those years ago. The place isn't as grim as Hermione remembers. It's been cleaned up and with a bit of Luna's decorating the place had gotten brighter and cheerier.
